Winning multiple cars?

I've just come back to GT3 so as to brush up on my skills for the release of GT4 next month(ish).

In some championships, as you know, you can win multiple cars! Like in the European championship in the Amateur league you can win the Lotus Elise, Skyline GTR (R34), Vertigo race car and another car.

However, no matter how many times I complete it I always win the same car, the Vertigo! Is there a way so that I can vary which cars I win when completing a championship or is it just random and ergo down to luck?

OK, thanks. At least I now know that there isn't a set routine to grab all the cars in a championship!

As for sneezing and knocking the Earth off orbit, personally I dread the time that everyone farts at once and we all die from fart induced methane poisoning! :yuck:
 
well i kept winning a polyphony 001 :)

unfortunately they were all the same colour!
 
i wish i had that kind of luck withwinning the Vertigo

i've sometimes spent upwards of 15mins doing the save-reload process to try getting it from the European Championship so i can sell it for a cool 300K when monetary resources get low
I usually get the mini from that championship 👎

Remember the save-and-reload trick? If you save after the next-to-last race, and you have more than 10 points lead over #2, you can quit the last race immediately after starting, and still win the championship on points. If you don't like the prize car, reload the game save and repeat. This way you don't have to rerun the series.
 
Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about that particular little trick. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Exactly what i was going to say. You could also run the race over and over and win all the cars. Start the series and save it on memory card 2 at the first to last race. Win the car and dont save after. Insert memory card 1 and buy the car. Load game and do it again until you ahve the cars you want.

Get what i mean?

So far i've gotten the opel calibra 8 times in a row in the GT World Championship on professional, it's a pain in the ass :( I just need the R390 Road Car...
 
Well, just save and reload... sometimes you do have to reload many many times. I reloaded 20 or 30 times at least to get the Mugen and Spoon S2000s in yellow.
 
reload for the spoon s2000? isn't it one color only? and it's the only car in the amateaur FR cup? (or was it stars and stripes?)
 
i was bored so i decided to get that unused stock mx5 (mmm i love sunburst yellow) and do the roadster enduro. oh, look, a polyphony 002! so i take my polyphony 002 and do super speedway enduro just to get it out of the way. after 56 minutes of running into mines lancer (grr i hate you) and playing pingpong with the witches hats, i get... polyphony 001! how's that for luck :) brag brag brag :D
 
That was exactly why I hate these multiple bonus cars. I think there should be one car and different colors. Or perhaps integrated, so that if there are 4 cars, you can win 'em all in 4 re-tries. Or even better (that just popped into my head) if there are four cars, you get to choose the one you want (but not the color). I did that roadster endurance soon just to get the polyphony car, but after like 8 or 9 times I still didn't get it ... damn damn damn :D
 
I know :D I got it at other endurance race after that :D
 
That's what I really hate about endurance races. After you done it you dont get the car you want.
Very annoying knowing I'm not that much a hardcore fan of endurance races...

At least I was lucky when I done the Super Speedway endurance race for the first time. I got the Polyphony 001 first try. :dopey:

From what I have read so far, and I have also tried this (it works!), when the multiple cars are circling around in shilouette form (blacked out), a big black "X" will appear for a moment beneath each of them. This could happen when they are at any point on the screen -- they do not have to be in the middle of the screen in order for this to happen. When the "X" appears, press the "X" on your controller, and you get THAT car. If you wait, then you leave it up to the CPU to choose for you, which it will, after a few seconds (at the end of the drum roll). I thought it was totally random as well, but then I read that you have to press the X when you see it under the shilouette of the car you want. Of course, you have to know what your car looks like first, so I would recommend consulting the prize car list available on this site, so you know that to look for (e.g. spoiler on the back, flared fenders, swoopy shape, etc.). Mind you, that is only in the races I have tried so far, and I have not done any of the Endurance Races yet.

That's the Spoon s2000 RACE CAR, which as you quite correctly said comes only in blue/yellow, and is won in the amateur Stars & Stripes cup.

The regular Spoon s2000 however, comes in 7 different colors and is won in the amateur Type-r meeting!

So there! :)

WHOOPS!!! Sorry guys, I screwed up!! It is random. If anyone else knows any tricks to this, please share.
 
i use the save and load trick too, but most of the time i just choose the car i want. i know there are doubting thomass out there, but i have sucessfully chosen the same car about 7 times. the car in question was the astra dtm on the german dtm series. if i could find a way of getting a video of the technique to you, then i could prove that you CAN choose which car you win.
i will say that i find it easier on the german dtm than on any other cup. 95% of the cars i win in that series are astras, that cant be random can it? in fact i cant even rember what the other cars are because i have won them so little.

oh.. ok thanks for that clarification..
 
press circle repeatedly when the cars come up. What i mean is when the cars are still shadows press circle repeatedly on the shadow car you want. Use the save before choosing trick just in case you choose the wrong car.
 
If you hold down R2 and press in the left thumb stick while holding Select and Triangle, it will give you the car that is in the front of the spinning circle when you press X.

I swear it works!
