I can win a Chevelle by winning the "Hot Rod" series, but is there anyway to unlock the purcahse option so I can just buy one in the color of my choice?

I don't think there is, but if you don't get the color Chevelle that you want, you can just go redo the 3 or 4 races for the Hot Rod series and win another one. Rinse and repeat until you get the color that you want.
Thank you, I was affraid of that, but now at least I know I'm not wasting my time this afternoon with 5 ugly color Chevelles in my garage at this point.
