anyone here keep a 100% record? does yourself care? i do....... but i know for sure that i can win the race before i do so....has anyone ever beat the game, and i wonder if the wins and loses count for anything...... i would like to see the ending but probably won't be able to finish the game in time before gt4 cums out.... 2 bad...... i do have what it takes to beat the game... but just need time...... drifting is a competitive style of racing and i enjoy it lots...... just that i need to be able to take better focus cause i tend to wander off a bit once in a while just playing the game..... cause i just get in2 it so much that i wander with my eyes and thoughts....... well again.... my questions is do anyone really care about the wins and loses? does it affect the outcome of the ending?

It does not affect the ending of the game. As long as you win every race, time trial, and Arcade Mode race on the hard level you will have 100%. You do not need to have a 100% win ratio, though. I myself have completed GT3 to 100%. My average win ratio is 87%.

I got 100% complete in 365 days with an 85% win ratio, then I started over and got 100% complete in 229 days with a 100% win ratio. No real difference.

"cause i just get in2 it so much that i wander with my eyes and thoughts......."

you're that into it, huh?

if i got 100% i'd stop playing... i have around about 50-60% as i create challenges for my self and will often settle for a top 3 possie

I am currently on my fourth game of GT3 and it will be my last. I have 79% complete and by the time GT4 comes out, 1/07/04, I will have 100% for the third time.

I am doing this because there might be special "saved game" trick for GT4, like there was for GT1-GT2. Maybe having all golds from GT3 will get you extra credits, or some other saved game trick. You never can tell.

I think my win ratio is about 60-70%...I don't care much for that, I use the save-reload trick a lot...I have 100% complete though, and am on about day 600-700.

thanx a lot people... that helps me a lot.... i do have to give all the people who beat the game a lot of credit for i have never beatened my game yet... along with all those who posted upon this post i welcome them to a brighter future for more competition.... always compete to your fullest will be my advice for i 2 control my own desired skills.....

Why do so many of your posts have such an unfriendly tone? It always seems like you're saying, "If I sucked as much as the other people on this forum, I'd kill myself."

Your win ratio doesn't mean much. Getting a 100% win ratio just looks nice, and it proves you didn't ever take the easy way out with the save/load trick in a series -- at the very least you have to re-race the last event until you get the car you want.

But it's ridiculous for you to say getting a 100% win ratio means you're not challenging yourself. I guarantee you that there are several people on this forum who have a 100% win ratio who have used weaker cars than you for many events. There's nothing wrong with reloading, and unless you're planning on getting 100% complete without using a memory card, you're really in no position to act superior. I'm currently working on winning the Pro Vitz race with a stock suspension, stock brakes, stock transmission and no LSD, and without an engine balance or Lightweight Stage 3. I'm having a lot of trouble with SS11, and I've gotten dead last many times already. I just reload and try again with a slightly different setup.

This post is really just as pathetic as you claiming to be better than other people because you don't have all golds.

...cough... INFERIORITY COMPLEX ...cough...

:D

STFU :p

No, I am just not anal enuff to worry about getting 100%.
Oops, I lost a race, now I am going to have to reload so I dont ruin my perfect record, and such and such...

It's not wheather you win or lose, it's how you play the game.... :)

...cough... TYPICAL SCHOOL YARD BULLY ...cough...

There are plenty anal people on this board, whether you are or not. I mean, one of the active threads has people talking about running races in a specific order to get the cars in your garage in a certain order (or something like that).

It's fine if the only fun you get out of GT3 is to try and run challenging races against the AI, but there are many other things that can be accomplished in the game, and it's pretty rude the way you pretend you're so superior to people who would take the time to explore other aspects of the game.

It just seems very strange. You're usually the nicest guy on GTP, and you're pretty respected, which makes it all the more harsh that you feel the need to explain what a waste of time it is for people to get all gold, or get a 100% win ratio, or anything, really. In this thread you were actually saying that, even if you're slower than a lot of people, you don't care because you're still a better driver because you never hit walls. To me it sounds childish. I don't know why I feel the need to say anything. I know you're just playing around having fun on GTP most of the time, but sometimes you really surprise me.

right now i challenge myself with all races in the arcade mode at various levels to increase my skills.... it challenges me to do better but i know i can.... i just keep setting my drift settings on because it is challenging to drift and it helps me become a better drifter... i can always get better time but i challenege myself with my drift settings because it helps me become more aware of my car and skills....... right now i am doing my best with my ae86 ss. that i won.... this car is my best setting for having fun while racing..... i like it lots and want to be able to show others my performance when i can finally get a complete nicely run with drifts....

I dont know why you are bothering either
I am puting it down to the posibility that our personalities just naturally clash, or rather yours does with myn as I dont have anything personally against you apart from the fact that you keep attacking me. there are not too many ppl out there that i do clash with, infact i've only ever meet one other who has. Dont take that personally, it happens!

after reading the post you linked to:
I dont care what time a person gets, if they hit walls they are bellow 5 in my books.[/qoute]
I am only stating my opinion. When you look at what the thread subject, it states roughly "who good a driver are you?" and it is my opinion (and it may not count for much) that if you cant drive without running into things your drivers licence prolly wont last long :)
I think maybe you read more than what was there :/
I only gave myself a score that is 1 or 2 above that of some one who wall rides anyhow :D
I didnt attack individuals, no names were mentioned, therefore no1 got hurt.

as for the only other person in the world who has actually clashed in some way with me, well it goes like this:
I was in a bike shop, I went up to the counter to ask about some brakes for my bike and immediatly the person behind the counter and i clashed. we werent rude to eachother, we didnt argue or fight, you could hear it in our unusually short replies and in out body language. the tension was so think you could cut it with a knife! We had never see eachouther before.

Now I have no idea why it happened, it just did.....
its just one of those things.

anyhow, chill mate :)
take it easy hey! :)

Ving:

Why respond if you're going to avoid what I said? I just want to know why you feel the need to imply that everybody in a thread is a bunch of losers when they start to discuss something "anal" like license golds or win ratios.

What's wrong with reloading? If I never reloaded, I'd not only have a 50% win ratio, but I'd also have over 315 miles on my Vitz, and I don't want a Vitz that suffers from an old engine when I'm still trying to win the Pro Vitz.

For the good players, these things just take a little extra effort . If you think it's a waste of time, good for you, but you don't have to be demeaning.

The Ving doth protest too much, methinks.

hey, each to their own. I didnt point any fingers or attack anyone specifically. It's just my opimion and I think I am entitled to that don't you?
I thinketh sir, you are too serious. I dont think anyone here is a loser, might be a few tossers, but no losers afaik. I dont use such terminology. I mearly state my opinion.
why is it that no one seems to worry about my posts but you?

I don't really care about it. Actually the first time I even noticed it was when my firend and I were comparing our games. All I looked for was % complete. As long as I run a good race I'm happy.
