I have these lovely Classic Wire Wheels on my TVR (and other cars) but GT6 won't allow me to put them on my Aston Martin DB9 like the ones that came with the real DB5 shown here. What defines what cars can have Wire Wheels? S urely an Aston should be one that could. In fact I'm not sure why any/all cars can't have them.

I could be wrong but I'll think you'll find that the wire wheels are restricted to the smaller sized wheels - as found on the older cars.

The DB9 will have quite large sized wheels from new and that's why the wires won't be available.

Not sure what the largest wheel size is for wire wheels is in real life? There maybe a limit due to strength.

Ah. cheers for that, I'll have to check it out. Shame tho'.
He He, imagine if it was for power; having some Monster, like the Vision GT Mercades, that just delivers so much power to the wheels, that the wire tears off of the rim.

I don't know what the reason is - it shouldn't be down to power - here's a picture of Nick Butlers Andromeda, which I remember from many years ago - this car had wire wheels and over 1,000bhp!
