Wireless Network Connections not displaying

I have an Advent Roma 2000 running Windows 7, and the Wireless Network Connections group has disappeared in the list of available networks; only Dial-up and VPN is showing. I don't recall doing anything that might have caused this, such as uninstalling any drivers. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. 👍

Did you do something as simple as turn the wireless card off? I'm not sure what it is in the UK but on my US spec Dell it's the Fn+F2 keys.

The wireless network adaptor is enabled. The problem here is that the group containing Wi-Fi connections doesn't show up in the list of networks, unlike the second image:

Fixed, by activating wireless capability through Windows Mobility Centre, since it turned out that the radio hotkey on the laptop was broken.
