Ok, I have a problem in whic when I use my linksys wireless adapter for my xbox (Might be wrong section, sorry) It lags terribly. When I use a pain in the neck 50 Ft. rj-45, it lags barely at all. The router and the wireless access thingy are atmost 50 Ft. apart. my microwave isn't in the way or running at the time and i use a 900Mhz cordless phone. If the pics work you can see both of the devices are in decently open
areas.

Let's start from here:

Bring the Xbox and the wireless bridge right next to the wireless router. If you still get lag, then you know it's a hardware problem. If there is no lag, then it's a interference problem.

Yeah the lag is most likely being caused by the distance as the signal diminishes the farther you move from the router.

50 feet isn't that far. My computer and wireless router are across the house from eachother and my computer is two stories below the router.

If you find a problem with linksis systems, GO FOR BELKIN - THEY RULE!!! By the way i use my belkin router and adapter at quite distance from each other, and they still have the same signal strength, but as soon as i close a door, bye bye signal. I cannot tell you anything about using it with xboxes, as i only use mine with a Toshiba laptop. Anyway, if you find a problem, have a fiddle around with the location of your router, and see if it makes a differance, as it often does for me. :-)

Um - Thats a Netgear router if thats what you were referring to. Granted it is a Linksys gaming adapter, but the signal strength problem would be most likely originating from the router. Linksys networking products are top of the line; I will not even consider any piece of networking hardware not from Linksys or Cisco (which is Linksys' parent company).

your neighbors might have wireless networks or even 2.4ghz phones. I'd wager good money that that is the cause of the slowdown. Try changing the wireless channels on your router. You have 11 of them to pick from.

Why do you say that Linksys is top of the line, but you wouldn't consider buying it. Wouldn't you want top of the line? I use Linksys products for my home wireless network and they work great.

well my dad bought that router really cheap. my neighbors seem to less on the technology type of thing and the lagging isn't as bad. plus gt4 is out so it will take up more of my time.

Reread my statement.
