Tomorrow I'm going to temple and having my bar-mitzvah. Hard to think a thirteen year old is the resident asshole here huh? Anyone had one before? Was it hard? Today I had to attend the friday night service and I don't think I was too nervous but I was shaking like crazy because it was freezing. If anyone lives in hollywood the temple is temple israel of hollywood on martel and hollywood. I never actually thought I would meet someone on a message board but that would be pretty interesting.

Ive heard this bar mitzbah (spelling??) is the celebration of adolescence. It is a time that all should celebrate when they turn 13.
This is your celebration into man hood and weve all been through it, so enjoy the moment. Right or wrong in my theory of what it is, good luck and just be your self. Later.

I've never heard of this before. What exactly are you going to do there?

yeah same as mate, good luck!

misnblu that picture is awsome and says it all mate ,living in the uk i feel the same tension as you's do in the us , maybe not to the same extent, but my thoughts are totally against the acts these cowards have forced upon mankind in their religious beliefs of gods and fate , and i hope the taliban will hand this mixed up madman and his associates over , before more innocent people pay the ultimate price for this man , you's americans are a perfect example of belief and the right way , and in the end good always prevails.

GOOD LUCK ! GOD BLESS AMERICA !

I read from the Torah(jewish holy book)and chant several prayers. Pretty much, there is a new Torah portion every week and the person who is celebrating their bar/bat mitzvah leads the service. I'm so excited. 2 hours left till my rehearsal right before it actually happens.
