Because no bugger ever remembers. Oh sure, we buy daffs for St. David's Day and get totally rat-arsed for St. Patrick's Day, but we musn't celebrate St. George's Day or fly the flag because that's racist. Bastards.

Anyway, Happy St. George's Day to you all!

Oh crap when?!!!!

It's a bit late in the day though!

Eh, I'm drunk anyway so it doesn't matter!

Happy St George's Day!!!!

It's a bit funny that he is our saint, when he probably came from Jordan (not GTP!)

It's funny that the Lion is our national animal, when it comes from the Serengeti. But who cares? :D

I was quite confused at first, because the high school I went to was called St. Geogre's :p

Either way, happy St. George's day, I think...

Happy St. Georges day, bit late I know. My town was flying the flags yesterday. I went out for a few beverages, went to a club.

I think there was a petition taking to downing street on Friday which had something like 500,000 signatures so that St. Georges day can be made a bank holiday. There should be far more signatures than that though.

Crap yeah totally missed it. Only ever really celebrated it in the Scouts don't anymore. Don't really celebrate any other saint's day either aside from Patrick's, but that's just as an excuse to drink a pint of the black stuff (not Bovril).

I got absoluytly bladdered for ti then some bastard egged my car.
Thing is wasn't St. George actually German or something. Like it makes much of a differance as our royal family is basically German.

Great, isn't it?

We're the only country in the WORLD who have a Saint's Day which no-one remembers, barely anyone is allowed to celebrate (flying a St. George's Cross is classed as racist  ) and then people discuss what nationality the guy was anyway! St. Patrick was Scottish, but everyone still wears green and drinks piggin' Guinness/Murphy's.
