Like the tittle says I just paid a 3500 deposit for the first 9 classes and should start next week. Also started college this week with the best schedgule for flight training. On the bad part I had a tire loose thread at 70mph and broke my rear bumper.

Congratulations!

Flying is the most beautiful thing I have ever done and nothing else comes even close to that. When my dad handed the "steering wheel" over to me when we flew our Cessna 177 RG-II together, the feeling you get when you know you are the one who is flying this plane is impossible to describe. It's that immense and at the same time it feels like you are completely free, away from all the stress down on the roads and in the city.

Enjoy it, and fly safe!

PS: If you get the chance, fly at dusk. Seeing the sun going under underneath your plane wings really is one of the most beautiful things to experience. 👍

Congrats! I spent this past spring semester getting my private license, and it was beyond fantastic. I won't offer any advice except to study up a lot; I'm sure your CFI can handle everything else :).

Best of luck, and let us know how it's going !

Got my first flight in today! Best explanation I have for it is a 1 hour orgasm. I thought I was going to sit back and relax but I did the first take off, flew up to another airfield, instructor took over and did a touch and go but let me do the approach untill 200ft. Then flew to South Beach Miami and flew right by the beach and between 2 storm cells. Flew next to the airport where there was a ton of traffic so the CFI pulled a immelman type of manuever and gave it to me to land at 400ft and let me taxi back to the ramp. I didnt have a headset since it hasn't arrived in the mail yet so I didnt hear the entire ATC conversation going on.

That's great. I started lessons but really couldn't afford to keep them up. I've sometimes wondered if I should have gone to commercial aviation school and headed in a different career direction.

Good luck!

I am in a comercial aviation program. It's not like I'm doing it for funzies only.

Good luck. I have held a multiengine CPL but I am no longer flying. It's a great feeling to fly.
