Won FGTC then the game froze

So I spent all night doing/winning the Formula Gran Turismo Championship and after I finished Suzuka the screen comes up with the checkered flag and the polyphony digital flag and freezes. I stared at the flags for 10 minutes hoping it would somehow start working again but of course it didn't. I quit the game game and came back to the race and sure enough the bronze trophy is staring at me. I damn near threw my controller through my tv. I really do not want to do these races again because they are a pain in the ass and I am now deathly afraid that this will happen again. I need to go punch a pillow or something because I am about to explode. Just venting and also wondering if this is a common problem. Thanks.

Ouch. I feel your pain. Happened once to me before, so I learned to suspend after each race to save it.
 
THAT would make me mad. i remember how difficult it could be in 4. but i dont have a fgt car. but i would do wat he would do.

I feel your pain,bro.

This situation is only reason I miss the old CRT TV's... it was always a great opportunity to recycle a controller and lower the blood pressure.
