I bought my Geforce 4 Ti4600 today. Damn this thing ROCKS!
One of the best (and most expensive) things ever bought for my PC.

Yes I know this is the wrong forum but more ppl will see it here.
And if you dont beleave me I'll take some pics :D :D :D

So far I've scored an 8050 on 3DMark, but thats low because of m proc. When I get the Athlon 1800+ on wensday, the score will be incresed, but I have to say, 8000 is a huge step up from 2500 that my GF2 used to get...

Tom, stay away from me with that poo that you spread, "Nvidia is coming out with their new GPU in August" I dont care :)

Be happy for me, because I have something else to brag about other then my con :D 😈

You gonna get Maya? You know they used it to make GT3...it says that on the commercial...ohh and they dropped the price to only $1,999....

Yay like I'm so not happy for you.

MistaX - Hey, congrats. I've got my new machine on order, but couldn't justify *that* much extra dough for the Ti4600. I'm just goin' with the GeForce 4 MX460. Decent card that takes advantage of a number of the GeForce4 features, but a few hundred bucks cheaper...

lol - I'm upgrading from an old AMD K62 500 with an original TNT card. I figure I oughtta see quite a difference.

Glad to hear it, here's the article for anyone that is also thinking of getting a new card.

http://gamespot.com/gshw/stories/news/0,12836,2863840,00.html

Basically This means that Next year when a few games come out with support for various DX9 effects, only this generation of cards (and those beyond) will support them. (Much like GF3&4 ti's, but not MX's support Pixel Shaders.)

I've made the mistake of buying Technology on the cusp of the next generation before, so I'll be holding off until this chip, the next generation ATI, and Creative Labs' new Monster all surface and get benchmarked.

yea Tom, i can't wait to see wut permedia's chip will do. i always wanted them to succeed in the gamer market. too bad the first 3 chips sucked :( but this is the right track. they make awesome professional cards. why not take that technology to us? sounds good to me. and thats exactly wut i've been wanting since i bought the first 3D card to the consumer market (3D Blaster Rendition Verite 1000....Monster 3D was next to be in my PC :D )

Thats what I'm runnin right now. I'm upgrading from that too. I'm running a SiS 530 onboard video card. I should REALLY notice a difference between that and the GeForce 2 MX400 64MB that I got. ;)

So where's your madonion comparison link? :D

I should run another one without any progs running, i should get much, much higher (I broke 10000 not so long ago, on the old hd.)

BTW - Try bumping up your resolution to 1024x768 and see what you get. :)

With no other programs running of course. :)

Hey this madonion is interesting.. Any info on this would be nice for use that have not used it. Like do you need to sign up for it or what does it do for you and does it cost money. I have not used it before so I would like some info from someone. Thanks..:)

There's some interesting comparisons between your Ti600 card and my Radeon 8500.... Interesting...

I would be scared to see your scores when you get your 1800+ up and running... :nervious:

I would be curious to see how much difference some of the Pixel shading and such would be improved and how much is soley dependent on the card.

I am running the 1800+, its because i had so many progs running (my average number, around 20)

:embarrassed:, so you gonna give it another "clean" run?

Nice score man! I have some driver issues to address, and hopefully then, I'll be able to squeeze another 1200 points of it it...
