Hi all, :)
I've got my work experience coming up in may, but Im trying to book my placemnt as soon as possible. I was wondering, seeing as 99% of the members here are intersted in cars, and automotive topics, where are you going or where did you go for your work experience?

I'm looking to book at Prodrive or somthing similar.

I ended up at INCO, Clydach. Simply because it was the nearest engineering plce I could find, even if it was predominately chemical.

However, had a good time regardless.

How close is the Prodrive HQ to you?

bet you wish you lived in the Silverstone area cause its full of motorsport places... i went to the silverstone rally school had a great time and had the added bonus of seeing nigel mansell as the GP masters cars were being built Just down the road
 
I ended up in the admin department special needs center a few miles away from me. It was pretty good, actually - it gave me a good insight to office work.

Good luck if you actually do what you want to do. Here - though it may not be the same case for you - the slots for jobs you want to do were quite limited, so be quick to put your name down for working for Prodrive.

I worked for a motorbike dealer. Generally assisting mechanics, preparing new bikes for sale etc. Really enjoyed it & learnt a huge amount. The work experience was for two weeks.

it turns out I missed the work experience assembly coz the bus went early :mad:
