I have played GT for many years, but never really got into the whole tuning thing (except copying somebody's tunes from here, meh :indiff:). I read a bit on the forums, but it's so much to get in to. I recently bought the FFX and it's truly an oversteer nightmare when exiting corners. I've tried tuning it know, but my skills and knowledge are limited so it hasn't turned out too well yet. Has anyone bought it yet? Care to share the "secret" of this car, and getting in to tuning as a beginner? My english is absolutely **** today, I'm sorry.

I unlocked it yesterday and it oversteers like hell! I also doubt that a car which was made to be the road Formula 1 and can only be run in certain Ferrari events with Ferrari assistance only has sports hard tyres. That thing SHOULD have racing tyres. Am I right?

The braking also feels very bad for me. It's very easy to lock up the wheels.

At least everything else feels smooth. Tips?

Tried tuning it a bit, and it helped on the oversteer to a certain degree. But still it is one twitchy beast. I'll post my tune when I get home, and we can experiment a bit if you want.

Sounds fine to me, but bear in mind I am still learning how to tune cars well. :)

What tires were you guys using? I ran a few laps on SS with the stock setup and it was a dream. You could light the back end up out of the corner which you'd expect from this car but other than that it was a grip monster.

Tried both racing hard and sports medium and both were twitchy and unstable. Spins out on just the slightest throttle + corner. I was using the DS3 which is slightly harder than a proper wheel on so sensitive cars though.

I use a Driving Force GT.
I set traction control to 0. My only driving aid is ABS at 1.

The only thing I changed was using Racing Hard tyres. It still felt the same compared to Sports Hard. When I turn on the game later, I will try the Sports Soft.

EDIT:

Just tried the sports soft tyres on it and they actually seem better than the racing hards. It's much more grippy, altough it still oversteers if you push it hard, obviously.

My next issue: the brakes. In Monza (with chicanes), braking before the 200 meter board on the main straight the car still over shoots the corner. But if you buy racing brakes which surprisingly this car doesn't HaveAve in the game, then you can break at the same point and the car will come to a stop before the chicane. I think that you really need to buy the racing brake kit because of the car brakes too bad otherwise.

I have done a rudimentary tune for this car. It does not oversteer as much and as long as you keep a consistent speed through the corners, it will stay on the line until you come off the apex and then it is same to put your foot down without understeering off the track.

It is not perfect and perhaps someone else can work on / suggest improvements.

*tune*
That's a lot better than stock, but understeers a bit now. I'll experiment on this tune. Thank you!

blacklable mentioned Monza with chicanes so thats were I've been testing. for the trans I'm reseting to default then changing the top speed to 242

the car feels very planted, and will hold a controlled slide if you pushed to hard upon corner entry, you can mash the throttle out of the exit, basically lots of room for error. were it struggles is under heavy breaking feels like it wants to wobble like a evo with ayc maxed, and tyre wear is almost 50% more in the front than rear. which is a big deal since i use tyre wear at very fast.

please let me know how this works for you or what you would change : ) i used shuanm80's tune since it was better than mine, and tweaked it from their. thanks shaun.

I will try your tune at Bathurst now! Soon back for results!
edit: It was better than before, but as you said a lot of wobble under breaking and the front tires get hot as hell.

i bet the tyres melt off at bathurst lol. are you testing online? if so whats the room #?

I use this car on daytona. Beast of a car on that track. 33.6 second laps lol
Which tune did you use? the one I made or the adapted one by fightnightchamp? be interested to know so I can use the car for later races.

I'm really liking this tune for the FXX, thank you. What can I do to make it brake just a little bit better?

I have a tune for this car, I don't think its very good like you guys have it, but I tested it against a friend last night and I did a time of like 1:58 with 59% engine power, nothing else added, which was less than 500bhp, and my friend had the stock version with RS and did a time of 1:59 on Silverstone Gran Prix..
