World GT Round 1

Welcome to America for round 1 of the World GT series, we are here on a sunny weekend at Laguna Seca with a capacity crowd and lots of drivers raring to go.

Race Setup:
Arcade Mode / Single Race / World Circuits / Laguna Seca / Car slect.


AI Level is your choice. Also, please set the tyres to sports HARD tyres. One more thing, no pitstops are allowed.

First off though, go to options and set the single race distance to 14 laps, this is very important as this determines your final race time.


Times should be in by midnight in your respective territories. 20th November deadline

All standard OLR Rules apply.
No wall touching/riding
No shortcutting
2 Wheels on/above track at all times
Rumbles strips are part of the track
No hybrids

Yeah so was the viper, too damn light lol, corkscrew was probably the bets corner handling wise, the fast corners i just couldn't get the front in at all...

Its a good, fun challenge though.

Umm, we only have two days to run this right. Times are due on the 20th. I'm a bit lost on that part. Maybe you should put the deadline in the first post, so we don't have to go back to the sign-up thread.

Hi Daan, yes, I believe that Tyre Wear is set to OFF.

If it isn't then I'm in trouble as I've done my race and probably won't have time to run it again as I'm taking Lady S out to dinner tomorrow.

As a further rules query, I ran this as a "No AI Contact" race as per Clean OLR regs and altho' it held me up a bit at the start and later as I lapped the field, it wasn't too bad with the AI on Normal and the same tyres as me. Are we to run the races totally clean in this fashion or is "Rubbin's Racin'" in force i.e. a tap here and there is fine, just don't ram the AI or run them off the road?

That's what I thought GT_Fan - many thanks for the prompt and clear response. I reckon being squeeky clean cost me a few seconds here and there but as a bonus it means I got no dents in my Aston 👍.

It is 8:38PM, November 19th right now. Does that mean the time must be submitted this evening, or does it mean tomorrow evening? Midnight the 20th would be one minute past "tonight" technically.
