Hello, this is the first race of the Worldwide Racing Series. Our first track to cover in the series is Daytona Infield (Road Course - Daytona).

LAPS - 60.
TRACK LENGTH ESTIMATE - 3.50 miles.
PRIZE CAR - Ford RS200 (Road version).
POINT SYSTEM FOR RACE.
1st. 100.
2nd. 85.
3rd. 75.
4th. 70.
5th. 65.
6th. 50.
7th. 25.
8th. 10.
9th or worse. 5.

Sign up's are still open in the thread, Worldwide Racing Series - Sign Up's (Found currently in page 2).

Though there are indeed 16 sign up spots, only the first 13 members to sign up for the race will enter. If the pace car driver does not enter, I will take his place. Race begins at Thursday, December 30th, 2010, 8.00 PM, U.S. Eastern time. Remember, I will watch over this race as with the others.

RULES
Breaking any of the following will lead to a warning, the second time will result in immediate D.Q. from race.
1. No swearing or adult humor will be tolerated.
2. No intentional crashing, to provide proper racing.
3. No driving over shortcuts or abusing glitches.
4. No overtaking the pace car during cautions or pace laps.
5. No qualification. You start where you start, no exceptions.
6. Cautions start when 2 or more cars crash.
7. 600hp limit.
8. Headsets are reccommended, although not needed.
9. Winner of race gets prize car, not duplicates for winning team.
10. Team points are overall standings, not driver points.
11. Team points are accumulated by points of drivers on their team. Although this means U.S./Japan have an advantage, Anything can happen.
12. If you don't arrive before 8:00 Eastern time, the race starts without you.
13. There will be a pace lap at the very beginning of the race. Drivers must stay single file and at a maximum of 80 mph.
 
14. The winning team of the season gets duplicate prize cars of 500,000 credits to 1,000,000 credits.
15. One race per-night. Future seasons will have "Heat Races" as qualification rounds.
16. All aids exept for TCS and ABS will be turned off.
17. Free tuning is allowed. However, cars cannot be tuned to be 220 mph or more.
18. Finally, racers MUST use the same car the whole season.
 
What car? Surprised how a bunch of guys sign up but they don't post here. :lol:
 
Might be interested - I would just wish there were a few more regulations about the cars, especially tyres and weight. Maybe an explanation to how teams are decided and why they are needed ;)

Edit: Just noticed race start time... 8.00 pm EST is six hours later here. A bit too late for me - sorry!

All tires and weight are allowed. Check the sign up's on page 2 of the forum.

There are no more spots for the North American team. Sorry. :(
 
Less than a week to go. Very few sign up's for the race filled. I might have to delay the race till January 6th. Never forget that sign up's are still open.
