Worth buying a ps eye for gt5?

I want to buy one for gt5 to improve immersion, but does it really do that? Also, can you guys answer these questions for me?
1. Does it work when using the "narrow" and "narrower" settings for the cockpit cam.
2. Will it work if I mount it ontop of my tv (40 inch, about 2 foot away from my eyes)
3. If I put it below my tv will it pick up movements from my wheel?
My tv is mounted on my wall above the desk which my wheel is mounted to, its about 15-20 cm above the desk, so my eye level is about the middle of the screen.

I don't think head tracking has been implemented all that well from what I hear. IIRC, it can only be used in Arcade mode. I assume it can be used from narrow and narrower views but have no personal experience. I would assume it works from 2 feet but again I have no experience. Whether it's worth it or not I guess is up to you. It depends if you race in arcade mode much and if you would get enough out of the $40 you will spend. I have a PS eye, couldn't get it to function properly, and gave up trying.
 
You'll spend most of your time in career mode or online most likely so it's not worth it unless you're playing arcade mode frequently.

I find it get's me a bit dizzy since the movement doesn't seem smooth when moving around.

But it is a cool feature I think.
