Worth Buying Steering Wheel?

I own both the DFGT (played GT5 for over a year with one) and the G27 (bought last January. If money is no object, get the high end Fanatec or Thrustmaster wheels. Make sure in any case, you have something very stable to mount it to and if possible, bolt it down. The DFGT was a waste of money. The G27 + a wheelstand pro deluxe ran me a bit over $300 when purchased. You can tell the difference in the two with no power applied, and once you plug them in the gap becomes even larger.

Someone said in this thread that Logitech may be producing a new wheel. Strange, last I heard they were bailing on the wheel market. Do you have any references to support that claim?

It was the console peripheral market they were pulling out of, so it could be that they're making another PC wheel. Could be, anyway, they might not be and we probably won't know until they announce it themselves.

You should definitely buy a wheel. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, the G27 is a good alternative compared to the Thrust Master steering wheels. I love my G27 and it provides me with a true simulator experience.

Buying a used but NOT abused one is a lot cheaper, although it depends on the price. I guess you wouldn't buy one that costs nearly the same as a new one. If you get a new one and then you get rid of it early, it just means that you wasted money for something that expensive, unless you're planning to play with it long enough, but having one will definitely open up a new world and new experiences for others who will play the game or for those who have got ridded of playing with their DS3 controller.
