Doing something similar to the one-lap magic events in GT4? If you aren't familiar with this, basically you start in last in a very fast car, while everybody else drives constantly worse cars as you work up to first, with the leader driving the worst car. Your goal as the fast car is to overtake everybody before the lap is over. Passing the leader before the end of the lap means you win, but if you don't, the challenge is failed. If the other cars overtake the leader, it doesn't count for them, but it makes it constantly harder for you to catch the leader before it's too late. All vehicles except for the leader must wait at the start/finish line until they are given permission to go.

Each week I'm planning on doing these sort of events with different car companies each time or cars of similar characteristics (like all electric cars or all race cars, etc.) There are NO driving assists allowed, except for driving line in the event of a night time event.

If I get enough supporters, the first event will be on Saturday February 4th at 1PM EST. This event will feature the father of the automobile: Mercedes Benz, on world-famous Nurburgring Nordschleife. I'll need at least 8 people to participate in order for this to happen. Each person will drive a different car. They MUST be stock on the maximum of sports medium tires (race cars can be on racing hards) The quickest car that needs to catch the leader can wear racing soft tires. I myself will be piloting the beautiful 300SL Coupe '54. If this event goes as planned, I'll post the next event in the Race Series section of this forum. All following events will be there as well. A calender will also be provided in that topic, so you'll know when the next event will be.
Starting from first to last:
1) Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupe '54 (goes at start) ZDUPH
2) Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91 (goes after 30 seconds)
3) Mercedes-Benz SL 500 (R230) '02 (goes after 50 seconds)
4) Mercedes-Benz CL600 '00 (goes after 50 seconds)
5) Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 AMG '00 (goes after 50 seconds)
6) Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (R230) '04 (goes after 1:20 minutes) Ericiscoollike
7) Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (19 Inch Wheel Option) '09 (goes after 2:40 minutes) wrapture
8) Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89 (goes after 3:00 minutes) nitrorocks

Sounds like a lot of fun. Those challanges was the funniest and most demanding ones. Love them!!

I'll keep an eye on this thread, and hope I'll have the time when it kicks off.

I'm at the moment organizing and running my own series which takes quite some time. So my spare GT5 time is limited to say the least.

Really love the idea tho.. 👍

Btw: Where's the SLR McLaren 733?

I'll do slr McLaren 19 in wheel option.

Great idea! 👍

Haha i like the idea, however i think 12 is too many cars. 6-8 oughta be good

Updated. See the OP.

I absolutely can't do the 28th, but this does sound very neat, I'd be in for it anytime I have the time.

Can I join?

Anybody can join, just tell me what car you wish to drive. :sly:

How about the Sauber C9? :sly:

You got it. Updated OP. Here's hoping we can actually make this event happen.

Count me in. And I would like to drive the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91.
