Lets say that something Not Good was to happen to Kaz .. ( now before you flame me i'm not wishing anything bad to happen to kaz )

Put if Something Did? Would the Gt series continue and would it be the same ??

Would it be the End Of the GT series ??

I'd think it'd be the same thing as if Hideo Kojima passed or became extremely ill. He'd choose someone worthy to carry the torch (hopefully).

Yea
but i guess it won't have that special magic that only Kaz Gives the Gt series

No, the fans would carry it on. If anything, it may unite everyone together and help them appreciate everything that he has done for the series.

Translator-san could takeover maybe. He has got the personality and basically knows how Kaz thinks.

The game would continue, it is a huge franchise.

GT6 would likely be a lot better for it. Kaz is a dinosaur and the whole team would be unchained from his hugely outdated concept of what makes a good racing title, and some fresh cream would likely rise to the surface.

The talent is out there, and Kaz's vision isn't needed any more. I give him massive kudos for inventing the car-RPG-pseudo-sim genre but he clearly has no idea where to take it now. Its sad as a GT fan that Forza 3 is actually the better *game* out at the moment, apart from the physics.

Make GT game for PC. GTLife.

Make it self sustainable. Collaborate with all auto makers that will use GT as a testing ground for new vehicles, and with the release or announcement of a car, that car will be available for purchase on GTLife.

GTLife will be the name of the game. Modders can build their own tracks that must be cleared by the developers. That also goes for body kits and decals.

It will be GT that is purely online based. Have all the events of all GT games but they would be online(empty slots would be filled in by AI). There will be trading, custom events, and leader boards. It will become a car MMO.

There might need to be a fee though unfortunately cuz all that can't be for free. But there it is, one big GT game that will last as long as people still love cars and racing, and will ALWAYS be updated.

Who's to say that Kaz has the special magic. For all we know Kaz could be stubborn and holding GT back. Set in his ways to the point that he doesn't listen. Its obvious that GT5 isn't what it could have been. Who do we actually point fingers at?

When your development leader goes off racing at the Nurb and goes entertaining industry bosses, you can guess fairly easily that the actual game will lose focus. He needs to realise he is a VIDEO GAME DEVELOPER.

I can't say the physics or 'feel' of driving a car (awful sounds still prevail etc) have improved noticeably since Kaz got more race-time in real life. He was clearly allowed too much play-boy extra curricular activities considering how badly GT5 turned out.

I have lost complete faith in Kaz being the right leader for PD. He isn't the 'magic' in the team. Whoever coded the initial vehicle physics for the GT series IS. And whoever first invented the code that made the vehicles look nice and shiny in GT1 - both things the team would retain with a new leader. :p

Judging from GT5, I suspect something has already happened to him.

Just what exactly, is the question.

It will definitely continue, its a cash cow for Sony, but the question is how will it fare. It could be worse off as it would lack its quirkyness and attention to detail that Kaz brings, but then you can also say that it might end up being more intouch with what the fans want as Kaz kind of feels out of touch with his fanbase in recent years.

, Ouch....Maybe he's just going through a decadent seventies prog rock phase before punk came and shook things up again.
GT5 isn't as bad as most prog rock albums though....

We would have 50 less Skylines.

Sarcasm off: The GT series would continue, although some changes (and some possible Forza influences would come in). Should make for a better game.
