Hi everyone.
I'm a new member of GTPlanet.
I'm from Barcelona, Spain.

Would you like to see more Formula 1 cars on GT5 Prologue?
Like : Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-23, BMW Sauber F1.08

What do you think guys?
That would be cool

Thanks to all
Bye

Some of the historical F1 cars would be a nice addition to the game, but I obviously would like more F1 tracks if I was given the choice.

No to any open wheel, single seaters.

Gran Turismo is a road car/GT game. To me, every car in GT should have a road car equivalent, so stuff like the Bentley and the Pescarolos shouldn't even be there.

Yeah, I would very much like to see more modern ones. Or maybe the F2007 will be one of those useless "special" cars, like the Caterham/Tank Car/Nike in GT4... unable to race.

If not that, I have this horrible vision of a "Ferrari F2007 Championship", rather like the Formula GT championship in GT4, but with an all-Ferrari F1 field...

I hope PD are thinking of putting more real F1 cars in there... or at least an update of the Formula Gran Turismo :scared:

no to open wheelers from me :)

as mentioned above, gt should be all about road cars and gt racecars

theres a place in the game for lmp's though, imo

Ofcourse, I think we'd all accept any new cars. But I think Ferrari might have made, as part there deal to include there cars finally, that the F2007 was to be the only F1 car. Just my opinion.
But I agree with most of the others, more GT cars

They didn't make one.

Codemasters are working on a 2008 (for the 2009 season, I would guess) version of an F1 game using an enhanced GRID engine.

I don't see the problem with more variety in GT. Of course I'd love more F1 cars in GT, but not at the expense of less road cars.

As someone else said above, to get some more F1 circuits would be superb, like the F1 Nurburgring as part of the guaranteed monster, Nordschleife

I think some single seaters in different classes would be great:
One modern F1 some classic ones Formular 3 and GP2.
But the modern F1 cars are to close to feel a real different between a Ferrari, a McLaren and a BMW so i think one of them is enough.

To be honest I found GT from the start to be more of a racing drivers history. You start with a used cheap car, tune it, get better street cars, tune them. After doing that enoough it is like getting on actual racing series like the Formula GT and the other LMP races.

In short for me say YES to both classic and modern.

I would love the Lotus 49 car that was in TOCA3. With the open rear axle and everything, it was beautiful to watch the shaft turn faster and you gassed it more.

As for moderns, yeah, I would definitely enjoy more cars, even it was just to add diversity to the pack. It's a pain right now because all the F1 cars look exactly the same.

Yes the more the better!!! But dont think they have liscense for real F1 cars. PD that is.

As far as I was aware, they were making a 2009 spec one - as the coder/contact on codemasters said they wouldn't get the details of the cars until the first race?

If they use the grid engine it'll be rubbish anyway - the cars handle awfully & unrealistically compared to F1CE - they seem to turn around the center of the car, rather than the wheels.

Yes, more is better.
I dont see why it should be limited.
Diversity is the spice of life!

I think Gran Turismo has evolved a long way from road cars. I am all for Le Mans cars and F1 cars, but I want road cars to be the main representations. I don't particularly want to see formula Renault or the likes. Personal preference I guess.

No... I don't buy Gran Turismo for playing Formula one

But we do buy it for the variety. I believe open wheel racing is also variety, though I agree that they shouldn't dominate the game and detract from the standard car racing.
Its all about the driving experience, and if driving a F1 car isn't one such experience, then neither is driving a Nissan GT-R.

I think one championship-winning example from each decade is enough.

Yeah that would be perfect.

I'm curious are those who are opposed to F1 cars also opposed to the rally cars and off roading too?

BRM V16 they need to put that in and some 90's versions of f1 cars

so yeah Classic only and maybe some 08' or 09' depending on when the game comes out.

No.

After playing F1CE , PD has nothing on this as far as F1 cars go , sorry PD , but F1CE owns you here on this one.:guilty:

I wouldnt mind some classics, and I would be partial to another couple of current F1's.
I do believe though that they should have their own races and championship - not being able to race against anything other than F1 cars.

Some of the early classics would be good and a couple from the late eighties turbo era.
As for the modern cars i'm not that fussed I have F1CE for that.
