Look at that. 2001, 5 years ago. We were rocking our boxors off because we were buying GeForce Ti 4600 video cards and we had processors capable of an amazing 1 Ghz (or faster, even though the standard back then was about 600 MHz for a nice PC). It's pretty awesome how far we have come in 5 years. A Nvidia GeForce Ti 4600 with a 1.2 GHz processor and 256MB of RAM wouldn't run most of todays games.

Talk about a blast from the past. I remember using my 750 MHz, 128Mb RAM, 18 GB HDD, Nvidia GeForce MX 2 setup in 2004 and my god I thought it was the bomb. I was wrong .

Yes we have come a long way in such a short time, if you go back to the spectrum dys, its only 20 odd years, and the stuff we use today would look like it belonged on star trek back then.

BTW I have a Winfast GF4 Ti4600 card in my pc and it runs all todays games pretty well, I can run HL2 @ 1024*768 with 2*AA no AF :( and it runs at a steady 60FPS+ same with older games like doom 3 i can get that to run at well over 60fps and full detail (with some CFG tinkering). Its also runs FEAR and other new games very well, and loading time are pretty quick.
