Wrapping CSR wheel with grip tape/cover

I want to coverup the plastic part of my CSR wheel and was wondering if there was a consensus on the best way to do it. Doing a search, there were suggestions for using tennis racket grip tape and wheel covers among others. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I also don't want something that will fall apart quickly. Aesthetics are not a priority. A link to an Amazon item would be the most appreciated as I have Prime shipping.

Maybe mask off the alcantara hand holds and plastidip the rest?

Yeah Plastidip is amazing stuff. Just be sure to mask like a pro and you'll be golden.

It seems like, to do it right, I'd have to take the rim completely off. I'm terrified of doing that again after the difficulty I had getting the springs for the paddle shifters back into their correct positions. It doesn't cost much, and you can peel it back off, so I guess I'll try it anyway. Thanks for the suggestion.
