Fastest stage time for Loeb
Cyprus : SS 3 - 7.57 km [14/05/04 - 10:35]
The shortest stage of the Cyprus Rally is the Asinou - Agios Theodoros timed event. This section was used for the first time this morning as the third stage of the race and will be run once again at the end of the afternoon.
Sebastien Loeb gets his first stage victory of the rally, narrowly beating Marcus Gronholm in second place. Petter Solberg is third but remains the race leader, 4"9 seconds ahead of Marcus Gronholm, who has been very consistent this morning.
Harri Rovanpera is also having a good race. The Peugeot driver is fourth in SS 3 but stays third overall, only 15"7 behind the leader.
Carlos Sainz stays close to the leading drivers. The Spaniard takes fifth position, which is enough to keep his fourth place in the overall standings. The Citroën driver is followed by Markko Martin in fifth spot. The Estonian is not having his best race of the season and is already more than 40 seconds behind the leader in the overall results.
Once again, Janne Tuohino finishes in front of a few works team driver. The Finn is seventh in SS 3, in front of Gilles Panizzi (8th), Mikko Hirvonen (9th).
