First was Fracois and now Markko. Ford announced a 4 year commitment with the WRC and wanted to keep it's drivers, but both moved to other teams.
Francois to Citroen and Markko to Peugeot.
The thing is: those teams will only be 1 more year in WRC. What's happening?? Or Ford don't like it's driver's or they got crazy. Anyone knows more about it?
Light...

Ford freed both its drivers when it was unable to guarantee a 2005 programme. the deal between Markko Martin and Peugeot was done several months ago, but only confirmed this week.

I'm not rightly sure why Francois Duval turned down Ford's offer to re-hire him. One assumes that it's about money, but apparently the Ford gig was for Team Leader and a big wad of cash.

The really odd news in WRC is that Skoda are going to run three cars next year!

yep... hope Mistubishi made improvements, because I really want to see them winning again...
Tony Gardemaister passed to Ford now. The only places left are Mistubishi (I think they keep with Pannizzi and Sola), and the second driver in Subaru and Ford.
I post more news as I receive them :)

I think François Duval had some good reason for being upset, If my memory is correct, Ford dumped him in mid-season, they didn't even let him finish the whole championship.

I thought they released him mid-season so he could start negotiating with other teams to get a drive for the 2005 season, since Ford originally wasn't doing the 2005 season.
