OP will be updated as information is changed/added. As of now news/info will take place in this thread and edited as needed.
This is turning out to be a more casual thing, as the field of people doesn't really support competitive racing, but it can still be tight and competitive, just not complete with standings and all.
There will be three classes.
WRC:
The 4 WRC cars will be allowed, Focus, C4, SX4, and Impreza. No performance modifications allowed.
SWRC (S2000):
Open to cars with a 2 liter displacement, 2000cc, mostly focused around the classic showdown between the Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI Spec C Type RA '05 Race Mod and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05 Race Mod. If you find another car the suits the 2000cc rule go ahead and use it, but I am expecting much attention to be focused on these two fine automobiles. (I've driven and enjoyed both before anybody screams fanboy) Once again, no engine, turbo, exhaust, weight kits, or intake modifications allowed. You may have drivetrain customizations though. Also since these are race modded cars you can paint your car and wheels as you'd like, as well as number changes. Take advantage of this, make the car you're own! I'd like to have everyone with different numbers tho, you can note this in registration. No sense in having two cars with the same number.
PWRC (Production)
Pretty straightforward, some people might like to run stock cars and I figure we already have the other classes might as well add this. Same basic rules, bring any stock production car you'd like (no race mods) and you cannot add any engine, turbo, weight kits, or intake/exhaust upgrades.
You are allowed to join mid-season if there are open seats. Do not be discouraged because we are mid-season it can still be fun!
Each rally will take place throughout 5 stages. Each stage will consist of 1 randomly generated track of each surface. Number of sections/complexity will be predetermined and vary per stage. Most rallies will be gravel, but there will also be snow and tarmac (toscana) in the schedule, you will know ahead of time to get a basic tuning, then you will have a 5-8 minute shakedown run before each stage, depending on length and people's lapping times. This is designed to get 1 warmup lap, then 2 solid laps for qualification and familiarization with the new course.
After the shakedown I will start the race. You will run in your grid order. This puts emphasis on making a solid qualifying because if your number 6 and number 5 crashes you have to go around him, whereas number 1 does not have this problem. Number 1 also does not need to deal with dirt in face etc. It will work like this: 321 go, +15 seconds go +15 next guy, +15 next guy and so on. I will be watching replays to make sure nobody jumps the gun for each stage and any "gun jumping" will be penalized. There will be a 5 second penalty minimum for false starts, if it's a ridiculous jump or other variables I may extend it to a 10 second maximum penalty at my discretion.
Standings will be posted in this thread, at the reply directly under this.
How we will determine winners is just like WRC: after each stage the unofficial times are determined and tallied into a total time, and at the end of each rally the fastest overall time is the winner.
Schedule:
April 5th, and 9th will be a gravel rally.
12th/16th will be snow.
19th/23rd will be tarmac (might be Mt. Aso instead Toscana, not sure yet)
Regs will be:
No performance upgrades (Suspension/Transmission allowed as well as drivetrain etc but no intake, exhaust, engine, weight lightening, or turbo upgrades)
High Damage
High Penalties
No Boost
Real Grip Reduction
All Aids off
Wheel optional
Mic encouraged
