Okay - rented this. Played for about half an hour or so.

Impressions:
- ooh it looks good, and holy bananas it moves. Gives a great impression of speed - I was sailing down a narrow banked section and it was quite 'arse tightening'
- the new driving model is superb (well, with the GT Force anyway!). Be warned though, it'll kick your arse, and it's quite tricky, especially on the tarmac
- it's not easy. The scenery isn't forgiving, so you'll lose a lot of time for fairly minor infractions
- the driver faces are as freaky as ever - they look better, but the eyes don't moved, so the cyborg look is back.

Methinks I might buy this one...

wow cool  Out already! :D:D When played at the motor show it was pretty dismal, as when i hit barriers (purposely :p) it stopped straight away even when i grazed them. have you tried the hitting yet?

Is damage realistic?

Haven't checked it out deeply enough - the barriers do kill your momentum, but it strikes me as realistic when you catch the barrier with the rear quarter it throws the front in as well.

I love the jumps - everytime the car comes down it feels like it's hurting the car.

It was out today.

Oh goody!
I havent bought a rally game since colin mcrae 2. Looks like ill be buying this one, I cant wait for the dirt to start flying!

Looks like we may have a use for that old WRC forum again.

Ok, i'm going up tomorrow to buy it. :|

There's a feature where you can set up private leagues at the game's site - I'll set it up and let everyone know the details.

Bah bah! I bought it! yay!

Will join the team ;)

you sent me an invite. So, where does that invite go? I just went on the site and it doesn't seem to have anything new on my profile. btw, nice times :) i might fit in enough time to do cyprus...i'm going for national this year

It goes to your hotmail address - you should have an e-mail on your hotmail account directing you to the address.

Man - I'm starting the get the hang of the handbrake, but I am so far off the times. Quite exhilirating, though - especially at Germany on those high speed roads.

OK, i put in my times ;) hehe. I don't use the handbrake on tarmac/asphalt, but i like that they put in the concrete barriers which are actually there in the real rally :) I got the email, clicked on the link but nothing happened. I am still not part of the club. :( have you checked national times ;)

how do i check my messages. i have been there but there are no alerts.

You're struggling? Well, i can easily improve my times by about one minute per stage!

Sigh...I can't seem to find out when this is coming to the US...does anybody know?

It isn't in the US yet? Well, this is like the 2nd game we have got before you this year... (GTC)

Well, apparently not until past May next year because you can't register on the competition as a US resident.
