I got a C5 Z06 and the sound when stock was okay, but when I installed full exhaust, it changed to an import sound. I don't mean that I wish it sounded better, It's completely the wrong sound. Tried to put it back to stock but it"s stuck with that sound.👎. Anybody else experience this?

u deselected the part and selected standard exhaust right? maybe its just a bug... did u restart the game?

don't talk about wrong engine sounds... I was crying when I heard the Enzo stock sound...

By the way... have you noticed that there is something really strange with the F430?

Exit the track, and then go back in. Problem fixed. No need to restart the game. If you want to try out all the sounds, you have to go back to your garage and do it from there, then you go back to the track. Its a pain, I know.

Now, let me give you guys some tips. As with all Gran Turismos, when you change the exhaust, its like you´re changing the whole engine. But sometimes that works for some cars. For example, the Doge Viper SRT10 and Viper ACR. To my surprise, the stock sound on both, sounded like trash. The ACR sounded like a V6 and the SRT10 like a Diesel V12. I was about to throw a tantrum(because the Viper is my dream car)when I decided to change the exhaust. That acctually made both cars sound like a Viper V10 engine! So don´t get stressed if you find out that your favorite ride does not have the correct sound. Try and play with the exhausts. Also, don´t get carried away by the sounds you hear from the AI drivers, since most of them run on sport exhausts! I´ve noticed that Pat_f40 mentioned the almighty Enzo had a wrong sound(I noticed it too). Try and change the exhaust on it. I´ve heard that some semi-racing exhaust sound like V12´s. It might fix it.

But unfortunatly, there are some cars that don´t have a fix. Too bad... So far, I´ve encoutered two: The old GTS Viper(still sounds like in GT2), and the new RS6(sounds like a V8). And there are problems with some aranging of the sounds: The Lexus LFA, although it not only sounds like a V10, but it sounds like a genuine LFA, has a strange jump on the sound. When you rev pased 4K RPMs, is like the sound skips and sounds like is reving at 7K RPMS. Pretty bad... Also the Cizeta Moroder. It sounds like a genuine Cizeta Moroder V16T, but it has the same "jump" on the sound, and its very dissapointing since it sounded fine on GT4.

It's easier than that. Just go to your garage, hit triangle. Select "Tuning" and pick the exhaust, then exit. Triangle again and select "demo". Rinse and repeat.

C6 ZO6 sounds a bit odd to me with race exhaust. been around a ton of street/track modified C6 cars and have never heard one like that.

Aghh the C6 ZO6 is just a disaster when you put the race exhaust on it. I swear im never gonna drive it again the sound is just freagin annoying it gave me alot of headache.

LOL try and put an exhaust on the Mustang GT Stock its sounds fine put and exhaust its sounds absolutly horrible

the 69 Z/28 with race exhaust sounds almost like most the LS cars i've heard and not to far off from mine just needs a bit more rasp to it. not sure how they got the sounds for the newer Vettes so messed up. brother came in the room to see if i was driving a Lambo or Ferrari.

What about if you just do engine mods and don't touch the exhaust, does it still sound like crap. I'm to scared to touch anything in the tuning shop that's engine related in fear of ruining the cars.:nervous:

You changed the exhaust, the sound is going to change, especially if you put the titanium exhaust on the car which adds a unique higher pitch sound much like these exhausts do in real life.

Putting it back to stock should change the sound back though, hopefully they will patch that.

Except the sound they have is totally incorrect. What they have is a sound similar to the one you get if you run a stock C5 Z06 with tock manifolds and do not install the mufflers but just have the open puiped under the car - I know, because that is how I drove my car home one day after having the stock titanium mufflers taken off at the local tyre store.

Either way, their Corvette sounds are nto evr close to the real sound.

On a side note, i have to ask, are you an employee of Sony or PD, because you seem to come to the technical defense of GT5 everywhere - almost as if it is personal for you.
