Wrong info in Audi Quattro description text..

When you're reading the text that belongs to the Audi Quattro it says the first car with permanent 4WD was a Jensen FF, which is not correct.
The first car with permanent 4WD and normal engine was the Spyker 60HP in 1903.

It...probably is irrelevant. Coincidence they called it a "Jensen FF" though....
 
The Spyker wasn't a production car though however if I recall.

The FF stood for Ferguson four, he developed tractors if i recall correctly and developed the 4wd system for his p99 race car. I used to have a J series Interceptor and always lusted after an FF with the six pack carbs. another little known fact is i think the FF was the first production car with ABS.
 
It also says Kimi Raikkonen won the F1 drivers championship in his debut season in F1 in the Ferrari F2007 description. Which is just wrong.
 
Even in regards to the numerous screwups that many of the car info sheets contain, this one is quite minor. It is actually more of a clarification than out and out wrong.

It was a hillclimb racer. That's true. But nowhere in the text they mention: 'first production model with 4WD'.
 
Then again, Audi claims to have built the first aluminum monocoque production car with the A8, though when pushed on the NSX issue, will admit that theirs was not the first production, but clarify that it's the first "mass" production car with an aluminum monocoque.

It all gets very hazy when people append the word "production" to a claim... you could make a case for either being true... but if that Spyker was not sold to the public and was built as a one-off racing car, it probably doesn't count.
 
I think the corvette convertible has wrong info, too. It says about high performance pick ups or something.

A futher oddball bit is that it's a mechanically operated ABS system, much unlike anything on cars today.

I was just going to say that. I saw it in the used car lot earlier this evening, and when I read the info, it was talking about the Silverado SS. Oh this is for the C1 by the way
 
I've been gathering info about the Spyker, and Dutch wiki gives some info.
It was the first car with 4WD, brakes on all wheels and the first 6-cylinder in the world. It had a top speed of 110 km/h.
The Spyker would barely race at all, as it was more used for shows. There are only two races known the car participated in. One in Blackpool 1904, where they reached 3rd place and one in Birmingham 1906 which they won.
There was also a production model of this car, which had 50hp. Further everything was the same, but production ended early because the car was too expensive.

The 60HP race model was built only once, and it still exists.

Well, it wasn't his first season in F1 but his first, driving for Ferrari. So the truth is somewhere between the lines :sly:

There are inconsistencies in the descriptions. Someone said that it was due to the translation teams who presumably had no clue about motorsport. Not sure how they could get peoples names wrong though. There was mention of Louis Hamilton and in connection to the Gulf GT40 John Weir (should by Wyer).

FF actually stands for Ferguson Formula.

Pity they couldn't have included the FF in the game. It would have taken a "little" modification to the Interceptor. Not sure how easy it would be to add 5 inches in the wheelbase of the Interceptor model.
 
The Lamborghini Murcielago 670 SV says Lota at the end of the description, it should be Jota.

I think worng info needs to be fixed. This has nothing to do with trolling at all.
If I were a troll I wouldn't post videos and other stuff here. You really need to learn what a troll is.
I was a troll if I continued on about the standard cars or everything that's known by now. But this mistake is a new one, and should be mentioned without any problem.

Ah Ferguson Formula, you are right, been out of the Jenson scene for years, you would need to add an extra side vent and louvored bonnet as well, i had an sp bonnet on mine, it looked super cool when i managed to take my eyes away from the fuel gauge.
 
While we're at it Marc Gene's name isn't capitalized in the Peugeot 908 Total description.

I believe it's quite common they don't capitalize words in French that would be in English.

francais means "French", but it's never capitalized. (Except for beginning of the sentence.)

it has info for the chev silverado i believe,its a little strange
