Pre-Season Starts Sunday February 13th (7pm GMT, 2pm EST)

2008-ford-focus-st-10_460x0w.jpg

The 2006 Focus ST is a significant evolution of Ford's ST brand, delivering an addictive combination of performance and affordability - something the blue oval has pioneered over the last 20 years - since the days of the Escort XR3 and RS Turbo. The 2006 Focus ST was the most powerful Focus road car developed to date and has proved its potential by lapping the infamous Nurbürgring a full 10sec faster than the original Focus RS, itself a modern performance icon. Ford TeamRS, the company's UK-based racing and performance arm, has developed a car specifically for the performance enthusiast without compromising day-to-day comfort or practicality.

Nice website. Are you guys mostly in the US or Europe?

Its split between both. This race will be hosted by myself, Mountain Standard Time. If there's enough interest we can look into hosting another in Europe.

Tracks will be released today. The ring will be host to our 1hr endurance race at the end of the season. Also expect both dirt and snow events for rally fans, and at least one event in the rain!

Track list and points system updated in OP. Points system is taken from 2003-2009 F1. I tried to keep all tracks limited to real world tracks and mixed up enough that no single driver will have an advantage. 300hp and sport soft tires will require some care to limit pit stops as 3rd gear wheel spin could be a problem. However torque-steer doesn't feel like an issue.

Sign up is on WSCC's website and we will be starting practice sessions soon. Once we have 10+ regulars we will start the pre-season.

Shameless bump. Thinking of running a practice around noon eastern time sunday. It seems most of the interest is from our european members so this time favours them.

First practice session posted. If you want to race before joining the club, or are under 25 and want to prove that your a mature clean racer, just add me on PSN and put WSCC in the topic.

Bump! 7 members so far, once we have 10 the pre-season starts. Remember you must join WSCC and sign up on the forum to be apart of the season.

Sweet I better see if I can find one of the cars. If I do see you there :)

You can purchase the car in the the new car dealership. Build it to spec and i'll invite you for practice. Racers are required to join WSCC to race, however its fine for practice.

Pope, what's days and times will the races be on? Room for one more? I'm going to build a car to spec for this practice.

Glad you came along, and yes there's room. I couldn't shake you during the dirt race, until i got disconnected that is. Races will be held on the same time as practice was, sundays 7pm GMT(2pm EST). Lobby will be open 10 mins before this time, qualifing starts on the hour for 10 mins.

Make sure all the non WSCC members join the club before next weeks race. The race is for members only. If your under 25, pm me, if we raced together then i will vouch for you to join.

Updated OP. Pre-season starts this sunday, however there's still room. We have about 10 members signed up and had a great practice yesterday.

Just a notice to those that practiced that are not members; You must be a member to race next sunday so don't delay! Anyone wishing to join that are under 25, if you've raced with me before just pm me as there are exceptions.

What's the track for the preseason race this Sunday? Since we already did both that tracks on the preseason list last week.

Preseason starts with Nurburgring GP/D, that's why i used it for practice. However it will be longer(17 laps) and you'll be required to pit.

I signed up at the website awaiting approval, the league looks promising, I also like the other events that you guys have.

Welcome, we have 12 signed up(your 13) so it should be a packed field.

The pre-season should weed out anyone having trouble with "clean" racing, and allow everyone to see what level they need to be at to be competitive. Judging by last weeks practice most of us will have to keep up on our own practice throughout the week.

Oh so this is officially preseason now. Cool. See you Sunday.

Yes. Last week was just a practice, and allowed me to gauge interest. We had a good turnout, and since then 4 more have signed up. Once the season starts we'll all have two races under our belt and should make for a clean and competitive season.

Only 3 spots left....Join today!
