WSCC Formula1 Team Championship

We are starting practice sessions for the upcoming WSCC Formula1 Team Championship season.
If you like to drive the Formula 1 cars and are a clean driver feel free to sign-up as a member of WSCC for this and many other club events.

You don't need to be Vettel or Hamilton to join, these practice sessions are a friendly and casual event designed
to provide some experience and increased comfort level for our members prior to the start of the season.

Rules/Regulations

Team rules
2 members per team, up to 8 teams
Teams must have a name(keep it clean!)
Each team must have a F2010 and a F2007
Teammates cannot pit on the same lap
No team orders!


Tire Regulations
Everyone must qualify and start the race on Racing Hard tires. (unless course is wet)
At any point after the start of the race you may pit and change your tires to any racing compound.
You must make at least 1 pit stop.


Car/Assists Regulations
Rebuilds, oil changes, and chassis re-enforcement are allowed at anytime.
TC and ABS will be the only assists allowed.


Penalties/Damage Settings
Penalties will be set to High.
Damage will be set to High.(you will have to pit to repair car)

Can we use the Ferrari F1 on this?

Yes, in fact you can only use F2007's and F2010's.

OP Updated, please read!

WSCC Formula1 Team Championship now forming, we are looking for clean drivers to join our new series (you will be paired with a team mate).
Practice sessions and the main events will be held on Sundays (12pm EST/5pm UK). A fast driver will be paired with a slower one for each team to achieve field balance.

To join go to WSCC, in the membership page are simple instructions on how to become a member, once approved just sign-up for this or any other club events in the forum "Event Sign-up" thread.

We have 6 members of WSCC signed up for this so far. Once we have 6 more we'll figure out teams and start with a pre-season race.

I highly recommend a mic for this race.
 
My replacement wheel arrives Monday. Now I just need a mic.

I may not make Sunday's practice as I'm useless without a wheel and a mic. I also don't have an F1 car yet, so I shall wait to see what my teammate has.

Just had a great 2 hour practice! Did some testing on tire wear and drafting, very informative. Tracks and laps should be up soon!
 
Great practice session today with really clean, close racing.
So many factors to take into account. The tyre wear testing surprised me a bit.
This is gonna be a good series. We are still looking for a few drivers to make up the field, and we're still working out track selection too, so if anyone has track ideas let us know.
 
I lost my connection again. Long story. Not much I can do about it. I will have to see if it continues to be a problem on Sunday mornings. On that note I'm looking for a teammate.

Anyone who's interested in this series but may find it too intimidating? Be my teammate. I will try and make every race but some things are beyond my control so as teammate you sure won't be letting me down in the race for the championship if you can't make a race either. I just got the 2010 F1 #7 car so I'm at the beginning of that learning curve too.
 
Join up, even if your not sure your good enough...you can keep me company in the back, lol.
 
I'd love to join this one.. But I don't got a Ferrari F1, and I can't buy one either.. My credit balance is 350 k at the moment.. So I'll try to save up for one before the season starts. 👍
 
Hmm...this sounds like a pretty sweet idea. Also a good time for me. Any more open seats?

Pre-season starts next weekend, full length(1hour), pit stops, tire rule in effect!

If your turned away by the teams, race independant! If you already have a team mate and don't want one picked for you, thats ok too!
 
Racing 33 laps of monza today! Anyone interested in joining us for our first full length pre-season race just add me on PSN (P_O_P_E) and mention F1 in the invite. Drivers will not be required to join WSCC until the season starts.

There's quite a bit of diversity in our group, and all skill levels welcome. Damage will be set to heavy so as long as your clean, your good to go.
