Open test session with multiple races for two hours this sunday from 12-2pm EST(5-7pm UK) in my private lobby.

The concept is this; Dual championship, team/constructors and drivers. Limit cars to 350hp and 1150kg. Use only "race" cars with adjustable front downforce. Use every drivetrain, FR, FF, MR, AWD. Weight penalties to the top three from the previous race(30kg,20kg,10kg). 30-45min races and use two different compound tires to force some strategy.

So far the cars include the following...

Toyota ALTEZZA Touring Car
Clio Renault Sport Trophy Race Car
BMW 320i Touring Car '03
Honda Integra TYPE R Touring Car
Mazda Mazda6 Touring Car
Lexus IS 200 GT-1 Race Car '04
Honda S2000 LM Race Car

No limits on mods, however most will need to use the power limiter to stay at 350hp. Most cars will also have to gain weight, and its up to the individual to determine the location of the ballast.

I'm open to new ideas for cars, however there's somethings to consider before suggesting one. These cars have small engines and high rpm power bands so torque is low, ranging from 210-270ft/lbs. So evo's, sti's, FTO touring car, and most rally cars are out. I'd also like to keep it to modern cars, and "race" cars.

I'm going to hold an open test session with multiple races for two hours this sunday from 12-2pm EST in my private lobby. Feel free to add me and drop in, help with testing, and perhaps start picking out a car or setting one up. I hope to have a final car/track list and a sign up thread started early next week, so here's your chance to get a leg up on testing.

Any idea what time that would be in GMT please?
If i'm online i'll come and do some tests with you.

5-7pm GMT. Hope you can make it out.

Ok cool yeah I should be able to make that.
I'll send you a FR later as i'm off out now.👍

I would certainly be interested, but I cannot race until the last week of June (exams season). But if the series is still running I'd be keen to join, even if its as a reserve / privateer team.

I'm going to run a short series, 4-6 races with low damage. After which if there's interest and the first series goes well i'll run a second with heavy damage.

The timedifference between EST and GMT is 4 hours so:
12-2pm EST = 4-6pm GMT = 5-7pm in UK = 6-8pm CET

I'm quite sure the difference is 5 hours. There was a time this winter when north america changed their clocks ahead an hour, two weeks before europe. During that time the difference was only 4 hours.

I'm MST which is GMT-7, and EST is two hours ahead of me. Are you in for this series cobrius? It would be nice to get the same guys in from the focus series, good clean racing.

Ok your right, lol. GMT doesn't change with daylight savings, and the UK is currently GMT+1. Learn something new everyday.

Yes I'll be in this series, and yeah the timezones are a mess with different daylightsavings.

Hope to see you tomorrow then.

Anyone else interested just add me on PSN. I should be online tomorrow after the F1 race in spain. GO WEBBER! RBR FTW!

Might be interested, as the 'dmax btcc' appears to be stillborn at the moment.
Mazda6 for me, as it's the only one I have.

Your not limited to the one you have, our club offers a service of providing cars that you might need for a race.

I'll be there

Your series sounds very familiar with my TOCA series...

I checked out your series in your sig and your right. However there's enough differences to set them apart. And while my time also favours european racers, its a different day and you seem to have more than enough racers to fill your grid. I hope it doesn't bother you, and it just goes to show that its a good concept.

Had a solid two hours of testing today with teeds and cobrius, thanks guys! And i'm very happy with how close these cars are on track. While some cars do seem to have a slight advantage, it doesn't always show and really depends on the track. Another factor is tuning, and how much can be ringed out of each chassis.

I'm going to test the civic rm, and perhaps a few others today to see if i can keep the list at 8 cars. There should be a sign up thread posted by tomorrow.

No worries 👍

Of course, keep checking for the sign up thread. Should be up either late tonight or sometime tomorrow. All the details will be there!

I'll give you a tip - the Altezza nd Clio may spec wise look ok, but they aree way faster than the BMW 320 and Lexus.

I had a read through your thread and noticed that these cars were cut from your series for being too quick. However all the cars in this series are maxed out and power limited down so that changes everything. After todays two hours of testing, 3 drivers, different combinations there was no car that stood out over the rest. The 320 seems to have the least "punch" of the group however is quite gentle with the tires and carries a lot of speed through the corners.

It will come down to driving style over anything for car choice. I was afraid the mazda would be the only car everyone would want since its awd, however that seems to have little advantage is most conditions.

@nvidiatjuh: I've sent you an invitation for the WSCC social club.

You are on the wrong thread.

The right one is here.

@GTRedline: Perhaps ask to the moderators to close this thread and put a last post with a link to the right thread?
