I have tried looking in every way I know best to find some semblance of someone out there having tried one of these.

I already own a G25 for a while now and I have practically not used it since GT5P came out because mounting it to my desk in my room was the most awful experience possible since my desk is hardly stable. All the noise I was making shaking it around made me regret the expense. However, now we have a fairly large 56" screen in the living room and there is nothing I can attach the wheel to and I have looked and looked for Wheel Stand Pro deluxe but as you all may or may not know GT5 made the demand so high it is out of stock for a while.

I don't want to spend my holiday break waiting on a wheel stand while I already have the wheel and then not be able to play because it wasn't shipped and have to cancel my order. The ebay wheel obviously lacks exposure and reviews but it looks solid enough to me, but if someone could give me an opinion of it I'd be able to get more courage to buy the thing. There doesn't seem to be any mounting screws for the pedals so I guess the 2 strips of velcro-like material are all it uses to keep them in place. The wheel and shifter share a single steel bar that looks sturdy as you can get. It has very wide and far reaching feet so I believe tipping the whole thing over would be fairly difficult, which is desirable but I just wish I could see it in action with a video. :nervous:

I'll be going home for the holidays and I would like to spend some time with GT5 in front of the big TV, but still have the mobility of taking it to my room and play on my 24" monitor. I'll also be leaving it behind when January rolls around so time is holding me back from waiting on a WSP. :indiff:

Go for it, it looks like the Playseat Classic, without a seat and a bar in the middle to make it more rigid.

Id say go for it.

I had kind of the same trepidation as these stands seemed to pop up overnight, with little information available on the Web. I decided to call, to at least ask a few questions before ordering one. I spoke with the fellow who makes them, he was very nice and answered all of my questions and seemed genuinely sincere in trying to make a quality product. So I decided to give it a try. I won't know how it does until it arrives, but it looks to me that it should be as sturdy or moreso than the WSP. I like the fact that the wheel base is adjustable to move further out towards the driver than it appears the pole adjustment on the WSP will allow. The T- handle knob on the height adjustment looks like it could get in the way of a wayward leg if not tightened to vertical and the pedal base may need some type of modification to secure the pedals, but those things should be an easy fix if there is a problem. Hopefully it will arrive by the end of the week, and I will try to post my initial impressions for anyone considering a purchase. If anyone else has purchased one and it has arrived, please share your thoughts.

If anyone has any interest in this stand, I am really pleased with it. Arrived in four days and came with a nice canvas storage bag. It's very sturdy and allows for perfect height, distance, and angle adjustment. The pedal base was attached with wood screws and a couple had broken in transit. I spoke with the maker and was told that he was aware of the problem and was taking steps to beef up the attaching hardware on the units they were in the process of making. Other than that, all of the other components are quite solid and everything tightens well. The WSP looks nice and I cannot make a direct comparison, but I would certainly consider this as a worthy alternative.

Did you look at the Rennsport wheel stand from fanatec? It's cheaper and looks a hell of alot better.
