Remaining in Japan, Group C heads to one of the most well known sportscar tracks in the world, Fuji Speedway in it's slightly modified form seen in the hey-day of the WSPC. Yet again an endurance event, this could help decide who finally wins the still tied championship.

LOCATION
Track: Fuji Speedway (FISCO) - 90s
Distance: 212 laps (1000kms)
Race: Endurance Events -> Fuji 1000kms

1 = IforceV8 (Mercedes-Benz C9 Sauber) - 48pts
1 = es nes (Peugeot 905) - 48pts
3 = The359 (Mazda 787B) - 18pts
3 = DRIVEN -USA- - 18pts
5 - jhansen - 10pts
6 - KevinD - 7pts
7 - Dudley - 3pts
8 - Fogelhund - 2pts
9 = Godson - 1pt
9 = Shifty - 1pt

RULES
Cars:
* Weight Penalties of 150kgs added to following cars - Mercedes-Benz Sauber C9.
* Weight Penalties of 100kgs added to following cars - Toyota 88C-V, Nissan R89C.
* Weight Penalties of 50kgs added to following cars - Nissan R92CP, Mazda 787B, Jaguar XJR-9.
* Oil Change and Chassis Refresh are infinite and at driver's discretion.
* All cars must add a Chassis Stiffening/Roll Cage.
* No other parts may be added to the cars.
* ASM must be set to 0.
* TCS can optionally be set to 1.
* Settings and tire choices are at driver's discretion.

Races:
* Two wheels on track at all times.
* Minimal contact with AI cars. Do not use them to help you make a turn. Do not ram them either.
* No wall contact.
* Races can be run as many times as necessary.
* Pit strategy is at driver's discretion. A pit stop is not required.
* Cars must start from the 6th grid position in the race. Qualifying is not allowed.

Time Submission:
* All drivers must submit the full time displayed by the game before midnight (12am) EST (4am GMT, 5am BST, 9pm Pacific) on Sunday, August the 28th to be accepted.
* All times must be submitted through Private Message on this forum.
* All drivers must and should save replays of their races. The top 3 drivers in the results will be asked to review their replay and submit their full lap times for the entire race as verification. Each driver will have 1 week after the results are posted to submit their verfication or else be disqualified.
* The fastest lap may be discussed in this race thread, but nothing else.

RULES FOR THIS ROUND ONLY
* Keeping your car on track at all times is relaxed. Try to keep the car on track as much as possibly, but an occassional accidental off is allowable.
* This endurance race has a set number of laps, so merely the amount of time it takes you to complete the race is necessary.
* B-Spec is allowable for this race to help those who might not have enough time to complete the endurance. Time acceleration is allowable as well. The capabilities of your B-Spec driver are up to you to.
* Submission of your lap times will not be required, nor will recording your replay. This will be strictly honor system.
 
This race is officially extended to two weeks.

This makes the new due date Sunday, September 4th.
 
my race is done. fastest lap 1.09.792 and was 17 laps a head of the 2nd place sauber.

Cool a second place at FUJI.
Had a 5'05.xxx during a test race (aspec and bspec) still would of been fast enough for second. :crazy:

did you a-spec all of it? if i wanted to win the race against ai, at least, i didn have a choice since the ai doesnt drive the 905 properly. i never use 1st or 2nd gear and 6th only for the longst straights.
 
A-SPECed the whole race for the final run. Figured i would have to to get to the top. Bob looses about 7 seconds a lap to what i could do and that equales alot of minutes over the long haul. I think i was 9 to 10 laps up on the 2nd place car.
 
i was 17 or 18 laps up on 2nd place sauber. :D i think i had up to 4th laped before i made my first stop.
 
just a minor tweaks from default. gear box tweak and some soft ruber with 40 units of fuel and that was that :)

just dont use 1st or 2nd gear no matter what the game says.
 
You know that trick too? :scared: (45 units here) heh, i did some tuning to get it to turn in the right sweeper and the straight with only a slight lift. rm fronts rh rears 11/12 lap runs 1'13's and 14's were the norm
 
1'10-11s were the norm :) with a draft up the straight, i could do a 1.09 :D without it, i was only hitting 220mph tops :(
