Hey guys,

I wanted some opinions on what cars/upgrades would better recreate the WTCC/BTCC championship lines.

I know we don't have Alfas in the game, unfortunately... but anyhow... some expert opinion would be appreciated :)

Well I believe that performance wise they aren't too far away from the B-class (in some cases) in terms of acceleration and all-out speed, but there is clearly a distinct bias towards handling. There aren't many vehicles that I know of that compete regularly in the WTCC/BTCC outside of the Astra and the Civic, but the problem is that I don't know enough about the exact specifications to run it correctly.

I tend to build SCCA SPEED Touring cars, my best one (thus far) being a Mazdaspeed Protege. I used the specs that were listed in Car and Driver and did a bit of chassis tuning on my own, but I'm sure it isn't anywhere near what the actual car would drive like.

It depends which touring cars, because BTCC have actually slowed down a lot since the super tourers of the 90's. Sure in terms of outright power there's only 50-60bhp difference, but a 99 BTCC Ford Mondeo could accelerate deceptively fast, and they could stop on a dime as well. The current cars arn't as good aerodynamically even though they look more aggressive perhaps, they arn't as powerful and they're built to a lower budget. I have a BTCC style Lexus IS200, I'll have to get pictures up some day.

Yeah, no Alfa Romeo :grumpy: But i made a livery for a friend of mine because he's driving an Alfa Romeo in RL
"Io amo Alfa Romeo" on the side and cuore sportivo written on the trunk. ;)

Here's a pic of the car (Peugeot 207) together in an online battle with my Vauxhall Astra with "Opel" livery

You may use the old M3 BMW's or a Volvo for a BTCC/WTCC racing car. (BTCC 90s')

In 2007, both championships use the FIA S2000 reglement. For more information check this webpage: http://www.fia.com/sport/Regulations/wtcregs.html
The cars will definitley need a full adjustable gear ratio and suspension. Some motor parts to match the horsepower in the series and maybe the ugly Forza 2 "rear wing / spoiler"
The weight depends from race to race by a few kgs. Don't know the base weight, sorry.
