So, today was the first day of Microsofts yearly Xbox gathering, X06. Lots of stuff shown. Some new unseen stuff, some old, but all pretty good.

Overall, lots of pretty interesting stuff shown. Even though I'm not a BIG fan of RTS games, I think I will give Halo Wars a shot. I also think Bioshock and Assassin's Creed look to be REAL sweet.

I totally suck at that game. But damn if it isn't just a blast to play. A buddy of mine has the first one, and it is a lot of fun. HA

1) Yay for Guitar Hero II on 360! I absolutely love the game, but sadly I won't wait a year for the 360 version... But the idea of downloadable music does make it an interesting idea...

2) HD-DVD for "only" $199? I can't say that I'll be getting one quite yet, but I'd expect Microsoft to be able to sell quite a few in the near future, making the 360 one of the cheapest HD-DVD drives you can buy.

3) PGR4? Not a surprise there. We allready know a Renault will be on the cover, so my guess is that they are going back to the PGR2 formula with a strong mix of cars that can run at various speeds on-track.

4) HALO WARS!!! w00t!!!

Okay, I'll admit that I am a HUGE Halo fan, and this one gets my juices flowing. If they can release this before Halo 3, it would certainly be enough to keep fans tied over, and hopefully draw more folks in. Looking at the trailer, you can see many of the conceptual vehicles that never made it into the games (check the DVD included with Halo 2), and looks as though there will be a good mix of combat between aerial and land-based vehicles, and that of troops as well.

Its just freaking awesome!
