I have the Red bull X2010 with the Red Bull livery (because that challenge is HARD!) I changed the oil before I ever drove it, and got the HP up to something like 1560. When the oil light comes on and I check HP, it's well under 1500. After changing the oil, every single time, it comes back up to one less HP than it was before. And the $500,000 engine rebuild option does not bring it back.

My ZR1 and my FGT each have a TON of miles, have had dozens of oil changes, and several engine rebuilds. The; always come back up to their full potential. My X1 is currently at 1551 HP right after oil change and engine rebuild, and it was 1552 last night before I had Bob run an endurance race.

Am I the only one?

Hm, interesting, currently I am running a lot of races with my X1, it is the Polyphony Digital one, the one you get, when you silver all three tracks, I will keep an eye open on that.

There only (only ) 1559.BHP to Start with .

I doubt if you'll miss that whole huge 8.BHP its missing

Running it till the Oil Light comes on isn't a good idea though either

I agree, I'll never notice that 8HP. But it keeps increasing. And after a 4 hour endurance race, the oil is black even if you changed it directly before the race. I change the oil in that thing before EVERY race now just to try and quell this issue.

Ive got 12,000 miles on my X1, i havent done an engine overhaul yet and after a oil change it peaks at 1480. Its slowly dropping, but seeing as bob is still winning and im doing the 24 hour races now, i wont be doing an engine overhaul either. Ive also got a 2nd brand new X1 due to getting level 35 on bspec.

Just like all vehicles in this game, and previous GT games for that matter, the X1 has more HP if you change the oil before the first time you drive it. 1483 is what it's rated at in the beginning. I guess I'm not the only one slowly losing HP. I'm at level 32 B-Spec. I'll just hang on to the one I get for reaching level 35, and grind with the one with I painstakingly got for two bronzes and a silver. Maybe I'll just try and beat those lap times and get the Carbon one. I hear you can do more tuning with that one anyway.

I have the same problem with my X1.
I use this car for B-spec endurance races (griding).I made a lot of oil changes and at the beginning the oil change was bringing back the cars full potential but now even if i make an engine rebuild it will stay at 1440 HP.....weird

The oil light should never ever be allowed to come on. In a real car if you wait until the oil light comes on to change your oil you may find that you lose a lot more than a little HP. You may loose the entire engine.

The oil should be changed often. Take a look at you power and you will see that it drops a bit after just a few hundred miles, long before the oil light comes on. Change your oil at this point or better still change it everytime you are done racing or before you go racing. You can never change the oil to much.

My X1 has been driven a lot and always goes back to full power after an oil change and I would suspect it will continue to until the engine needs rebuilt.

Well.. theres also a huge difference between a casual car where you need to change oil every.. ? 4000 km ? 5000 km ?

And....

A formula 1 runing at 350 kmph non-stop during 2 or 3 hours.

Mine is at 1400HP now xD Bob killed my car, first time i drove it was today... Only bob been riding those wheels... A lost of more than 100HP is weird :S

Of course there is but I do not see your point. My point was that you should change the oil often in the game and that is a fact. I would say as a general rule of thumb every 200 miles or so when possible.

A lot of those endurance races are more than 200 miles long. What am I supposed to do, the pit crew won't change my oil. I change the oil very frequently in that thing since I noticed the HP dropping. Now it doesn't matter if the oil is black or clean, or if the oil light has come on. If the HP drops after an endurance race, like it does in all my cars, an oil change will not restore full HP, like it does in all my other cars. I'm not an idiot or inattentive, I don't race for a week in this thing before an oil change, it usually gets it's oil changed before every race lately.

That was kinda my point. Rebuilding the engine should restore that lost HP. It did on the FGT and my ZR1. But the X1 is not regaining that HP, it's like the engine rebuild does nothing.

All Cloned X1s eventually lose all HP and Die

Mine is not cloned. Also, if the game could recognize when a car was cloned, don't you think it might not allow them to be cloned, as opposed to a barely noticeable, slow drop in HP?

Do you know if chassis rebuild do something ? hp ? handling ? anything ?

I haven't been able to notice the chassis rebuild do anything yet. I tried it, just to see if maybe GT5 thought that with a worn, loose chassis that the car might not stick as much power to a dyno. No such luck.

I have some information on this. I've been using my S.Vettel X2010 for spamming endurance races in B-Spec. I did an oil change after every endurance race or after every 5 normal races.

For the first 6000km it remained at 1556bhp, which is identical to my other x2010 that has done about 500km (has been run in).

After 6000km (actually about 6100, but I assume the change happened at 6000) the oil change failed to bring it back to 1556bhp, so I decided it must be due for an engine overhaul. Overhauling the engine did indeed bring it back to 1556, and after that I decided to change the engine every 6000km.

So at 12000 km I overhauled the engine once again, and it came back with 1555bhp, and now it just hit 18000km and the engine overhaul brought it to 1553.

So it really does gradually lose small amounts of power, even with doing regular engine overhauls, but if you havent done one yet and your X2010 is dropping below 1500bhp, I highly reccomend you give it an engine overhaul, since its only 500k, and the X2010 can win that in half an hour. Think of it as its reward for working so hard :).
