Maybe it's just me but I think that it is sometimes faster to drive on grass with the x1 compared to tarmac. For anyone that has it unlocked, run the like the wind race at daytona. After taking the first two turns and hitting the straight look at your speed while driving on tarmac. Next lap go to the inside of the straight and drive on the long grass straight and look at your speed. I will try to get a video up soon

Whenever my X1 ends up on the grass, It always seems as if it would just bounce around, preventing good control or high speed.

It is a sucker car after all, in a game where grip is an algorithm.

It wouldn't surprise me if it remained largely unchanged off road.

F1 cars can run of the road and (providing they're at the right end of the speed>downforce square) still keep massive levels of grip.

I guess that as Sidstyler says the X1 generates so much downforce in one way or another that this effect is simply exacerbated.

When the X1 is on the tarmac straight I'm lucky to get it up to 280 before I hit the next two turns. If I run the same length but on grass, I can get it to 290 easily.

Wonder how much dirt and grass would get sucked up through that fan, would be funny to see dirt/grass blowing out the back of the fan when you go off the track. :D

Maybe that is it, it is like troll science.

Because it is sucking up debris which is denser than air and pushing it out the back it accelerates faster.
I cracked this mystery.

Isn't there a Option to set the Off Track grip from Low to Real ?

Maybe that would make a difference ?
