x2010 challenge w/ controller

i've managed to get gold at monza but at suzuka and nurburgring i can't. with the controller the car feels laggy when changing direction, for example at the "S" it's flat out with a wheel but with a controller you have to brake and i'm losing three seconds there which isn't fair to people without wheels, has anyone managed to get gold without using the wheel?
 
Yeah same with me, the response from a controller is way off for some reason...
