X2010 Example Replay..WTF

Anyone notice that the Example replay doesnt get gold? I have been trying for hours and i cant get better the bronze with a DS3. PD needs to lower the Gold times for DS3 users can platinum this game. Who set the Replay times because they arnt good enough to set gold times. Also why cant i race my own ghost to get better, chasing a ghost doesnt help me improve
 
I know it sucks. Makes me sad that I won't plat my favourite game. My fav game before this was CMR Dirt 2 and that was my first plat ever.

Although maybe we should be happy that we can at least get a bronze and 100 % in game?

It's possible to gold it with a DS3, they don't need to lower the time. It's one of the few challenges in the game.

you use a wheel.... try it with a DS3 then come back and talk. Its dumb that you need to gold a fantasy car challenge to get plat... i Hate the X2010 never should have been in GT5. If any thing they should have added the Caparo T1 because thats a real car.

I'm pretty sure that the example replay is the ghost car that you see, which gets the silver time, and to get gold, you have to beat it when it has a 1.5 second head start.

Challenge, understatement. A huge bit of luck is required, everything is so fast and the corners have to be so perfect, your touch on the DS3 must be spot on.

The guy that done it in gold on the DS3 must of had a corner or 2 where they had thought this is going to go wrong, or after the corner thought that was lucky.

When I got bronze I know I had a few lucky corners.

The touch on the DS3 needs to be like that on karting smooth, precise and hit all the right lines, all corners that can be done at top speed have to be done, all that why going upto a 3rd the speed of sound.
 
After doing a few endurance races with the X10, everything else seems so slow. Even watching F1 on the TV seems slow.
 
You only need to bronze the Vettel challenge to get the trophy. Or do you get a trophy when you gold all the challenges?

Are all DS3 players using manual gears? I've been on auto so far and beginning to think it drops down too much. Might have to bite the bullet and go manual. Probably ought to anyway - manual on everything else.
 
I didn't think anyone used auto in video games, except for that guy on this forum who has been defending his use of automatic transmission for months or years.
 
Well quite a lot of people said here that they did the vettel challenge with a ds3 and golded everything. I also managed gold on monza, silber on the ring course and bronze on tsukuba. I dare say that gold is possible on all three, but I lack the time and the will to do it. However it's really hard work and you should be prepared to but at least several hours per course into gold.
 
Forget it with the pad. I goldished Monza & the 2 other are on bronze. Then i tried for 2 days Nürburgring/Gold. Best till now is a 2,11:159.

It's a nightmare with the pad. I don't try it more, the X2010 is the biggest crap outa there. You need hyper sensitive thumbs & uber skillz to goldish all 3.

Thinking about ordering a DFGT, do the challenge & send the wheel back. Don't waste your time & nerves, abuse the right to return unsatisfactory products. :dopey:👍
 
After a lot of time and frustration I managed to get within 2-4 seconds from silver on all three tracks using a ds3. I have given up on the vettel challenge at least until I get a wheel. Amazon has them listed for 130 bucks and free shipping.
 
Bronzed all 3 with a DS3 and moved on, what a a$$-ache of a challenge.
 
they could just lower all Gold times for DS3. Have your game save reconize if your using a DS3 or a Wheel.
 
im with freight on this one. i can see how it would easily be possible to gold the challenges on DS3 i just dont have the confidence in the car to fully push it, or the time to keep waiting once ive spun out lol

i am a DS3 user before people ask :P

i remember when people complained at the od bronze times. myself included. but now its just waaaaaay too easy in comparison. i used to be no-where near the suzuka time, then i did 2 really scrappy laps and bronzed it in under 10 mins. also used to miss out on nurb by 0.009 of a second which really annoyed me :P but then when they lowered times and put in the sensetivity upgrades it made it really easy to do. i will finish off silvering them. someday :P
 
As much as I've grown to hate this challenge I don't think any adjustments should be made tot the times. With practise the times are possible to do even with an ds3. The more you practice the more you shave off your time. I only have 0.065 (lost .5 seconds on first lap for easy gold arghhh) to go on suzuka to gold all three and it will be a massive relief after 50 hours+ of practice and frustration :)

Personally, I have Silver-Gold-Silver and doubt I will gold the last 2. Seem to have hit the 'talent wall', shame as I have golded everything else in the game. :nervous:
