When I first heard about and saw the X2010 I couldnt wait to try it out. I've been playing the game when I can since launch, but I dont have much free time anymore (just became a daddy!! :)), and Im not even close to getting it. Took me all this time just to get to level 23. It will take me another half a year before I can get there.

Anyone else think they made it too difficult and time consuming to obtain? I know it's the ultimate unlockable in this game, but for those of us that only have very little time to play this thing is just out of reach. I wish they would let you get it at like lvl 25.

A recent update to the game made the Vettel Challenge bronze medal much easier to attain. You need to make level 30 aspec. Keep at it. You are not far away, particularly since you can use the Seasonal Events to get massive experience points. Once you get to the Vettel Challenge, you will find it a little frustrating at first to drive the X1, but after a little practice, bronze is definitely attainable. Gold and silver border on impossible, at least for me. Like you, I am a daddy and so I do not have lots of time to game. That being said, I still have managed to hit Level 33 aspec and Level 37 bspec. Hang in there.

Yeah its crazy, at the point Im at I have to grind so many races to raise a level. To go through 7 more levels, then have to try to beat that challenge I keep hearing is very tough, Im a good ways away from earning this thing.

Congrats man.
You'll get the car soon, there's no rush just enjoy the game. Hell I'm only level 25 and in no rush to get it. If you have a few friends online check their online vehicles and borrow it for a while (lucky I have one friend who's hosting 5 of them). It's fun to drive but a lot of hard work, after a few laps with it on the ring my arms where very tired.

Thanks!

Wow I didnt even know you can borrow friends cars. That's pretty damn cool. Just curious though, can you steal someones car, or is there a way in the system to take it back from them? I would never do that, just wondering.

Duplicate? Ive never heard of that.

Never heard of duping?
It's a bug/glitch/loop-hole/trick in the game where you back up your data, send the car over to another account, delete your new save data, restore the old data that still has the car you sent to the other account on, send the car back from the other account and magic, you get a duplicate!
Sound confusing? It is, and there is a chance you might accidentally delete all your progress

Unfortunatly, PD are trying to stop this by limiting the cost of cars you can send to 1 million stopping people from sending X2010s
But now PD have temporarily lifted the cost resriction just to confuse us even more.
:)

Thanks!

No you can't steal it (unfortunatly)
The car never leaves their possession, it just gets duplicated (by the game this time) so you can use a copy of it for events and stuff when you share (trading/gifting is a different matter)

Ask a friend to share it.. That how I got to use it.....

Sharing is better than trading if you just want to try or use a car.

I wouldnt accept a gift one mate just keep at it, its not actually hard to beat the challenge now once you get to 30 and you will feel much better knowing you have earned it. To be honest i hate the dam thing i can drive it well and have beat the challenges all bronze and 2 silver. But i prefer my lets say real cars :).

I got it through reaching level 35 in B-Spec, you get one for free then. Also it unlocks in the dealership (level 30 i think) but it's 20 mil so takes an age to save for, you might want to save for the P4, Mark IV, Miura, Ferrari F1s etc before that.

Took me a little while to even touch B-Spec but then realised you get different prize cars and after a certain point, can leave your "Bobs" to do the work for you. I think I got to level 35 with not too much grinding, did everything but the 24 hour races. Good way to make money too (the Dream Car Championship, once unlocked, is a good money-maker with over 1 million credits per championship as long as you win all the races)

With my DS3 i found the Seb Vettel challenge a little nuts and meant to come back to it, hoping I can snag Bronze now that the times have been made more lenient. You might find that easier, but anyway there are a few ways to get one, stick with it :)

I have never had to grind ever. I have never had to do a race multiple times aside from not getting gold on it. If you do the special events and get gold on those some of those are worth tons of experience.

It's easy now, not just the new times but the controller sensitivity, before I was 5 seconds off now I have 2 golds and a silver (0.8 off atm).

Nice to know that new setting has made silver and gold possible with a controller too :)

Though I suspect my reactions are just not quite up to it, along with the snappy steering on the DS3...I struggle with FGT and Ferrari F1 events as it is, not in terms of speed, I win by a good margin if I keep it clean, but I make too many unforced errors (Suzuka especially) :ouch:

I still cant do teh bloody challenge with the DS3 lol. i'm way too heavy handed with teh sticks even with sensitivity lowered, i borrowed one few weeks ago and i can drive it well, just not well enuff to beat the challenge, plus 2 of the 3 challenge courses are on couple of my most hated courses lol

If you're using the DS3, you'll want to set the sensitivity to 7.

I could only get Silver with it set to 0.
