XANAVI Nismo Z '06 question???

Hey GT5 players,

I have a little less than 1,000,000 credits now and am looking to buy my first real race car... (my current fastest car is a Murcielago SV with 815 bhp) Would you recommend the Nismo Z??? Will it be relatively easy to win the Super GT with it??? If you don't recommend it what are some other good racers???

If it's the seasonal Super GT, and you can be bothered to wait for cars in the UCD, get a Nomad Diablo. Otherwise, yes, the Xanavi Nismo Z is the one to go for.

If it's the actual A-Spec Super GT, cut your losses massively with an HKS CT230R. It's eligible for the event and is nearly 750,000 Cr. cheaper.
 
Well I meant the Seasonal Event...

But anyway, do you think it is worth the money??? How does it compare to other cars?
 
Lamborghini Diablo - 603hp, 610PP, 750,000 Cr. roughly, standard
Nissan Z - 519hp, 950,000 Cr., Premium

Basically, the Diablo if you have patience, the Z if you don't. Bearing in mind the Diablo is a guaranteed win if you drive even relatively crashingly, although the Z is still an easy win with different tyres. But then again...all the Super GT's are easy wins with better tyres. :indiff: Really, the Z isn't that much better than the others in that regard. I just choose the one that looks best :D
 
If I tune the Z a lot, will it be easier? My main question is whether or not the Nismo Z is a waste of money...

money isn't an issue nowadays with the seasonals paying out so much. if you are worried about it, go run the ferrari seasonal on Circe (sp) de la Sarthe twice and you'll get 1,008,000 credits

Any Super GT can be an easy win if you fit the high RPM turbo, and racing softs:tup:

Premium Super GT500 car - 950,000 @ 603pp

High RPM Turbo - 20,000

Racing Softs - 36,000

Grand total- 1,006,000

I think I'll check the UCD one more time and if the Diablo isn't there, I'll buy the Nismo...
 
You won't need to tune the Z - again, all you really need is tires (and a good setup if you wanna make it better to drive). But yes, the Z is certainly pretty good for the money. It's just...the standards can do nearly as much with better tyres, as well as the two Supra's which are mildly cheaper, albeit a little slower. But do by all means feel free to get it, for what you get, it isn't bad. Although I haven't actually driven it - my chosen Super GT is the Bandai Direzza SC430. But that's virtually the same thing and it's just as good.

In a nutshell, the Super GT's are certainly all pretty good for the money.

Also they're all tradeable, which is lovely :D

Funny that this came up while I'm in the process of finding out which of the cars eligible for the Super GT is the fastest. I have all but two of the 35 or 37 cars that can run it, and I can state for a fact that all of them will win (Nurburgring GP/F) without having to upgrade parts or power, just change the oil and put on soft racing tires if you want to give yourself an extra edge. I will say that I like the SC430's and Supra's better out of the box, the GT-R's are a bit loose in the rear accelerating out of the turns, and the NSX's are the ones that could most benefit from some tuning of the suspension and drivetrain (when I'm finished with the last few cars I'll post a more complete synopsis of what I found out). The Diablo is superior in hp and pp, but it really doesn't make that much difference, just pick one you like and go with it.
 
Buy the premium Nissan Yellowhat for 950.000, best car in the game.
 
Its the fastest premium super gt car you can get but the super gt supras are slightly cheaper you can use the extra money to buy racing softs and a Turbo for it:tup: I have both super gt supras the z,xanavi and yellow hat gtr.nomad,etc. The supra is a legend and is a blast to drive especially when you put a turbo in it

All you need is any of the super gt cars with racing medium tires and you are guaranteed a win. Forget about adding turbos and all the other nonsense. There is no fun in totally destroying the competition especially when any of the cars can win in totally stock form. The whole point of these races is to have a decent race with a nice grid to look at, not to do a time trial against yourself. Thats just plain retarded if you ask me

Very true but when it comes to a point when you do beat it a turbo is fun to have for racing friends

The Z is a real powerhouse, I'd go for it.
 
All the super gt cars can easily win the event stock because the ai can't drive. It's mostly what car looks the best to you.
OT: the nismo z is marginally faster than most of the other super gt cars.yes you'll win.
Off topic: quit recommending turbos and racing softs it just makes the races that much more boring.
 
buy TOMS supra the '98 one i think from the ncd just with racing softs it annihilates everything else
 
Get a Ferrari, and do the Le Sarthe seasonal.
More money, then you can go buy any GT500 car you want.
 
I ran both the seasonal and the championship with the Xanavi NSX, then the Motul GTR. The NSX will certainly do it, but the GTR is so much more fun.
 
Another good choice,if you have patience,is the Woodone Tom's Supra '03 as well as the above mentioned '98...The '03 will make a cameo in the UCD,seemingly,only once in a blue moon but it will stomp all-comers no problem.
