Sighh, mine finally pooped out on me. I stepped on it a while ago (like everyone has) and the clip broke, so i did all sorts of crazy things like superglue, duct tape, glue gun, scotch tape (worked the best). But this time, it doesnt work anymore. I can hear people talk, but they can't hear me. Whenever i move the wire thats attached to the controller, people hear annoying cracking and poping. Oh well, they're considered disposable i guess... Anyways, what kind of headset do you use? Original XBL? Cellphone headset? Plantronics headset? Other? And how many have you gone through. Siighh, what a way to go right before the release of Forza Motorsport...

replaced mine with a plantronics... not the ear piece one. the regular.. its great.

The case? I think its the wire because when i move it, they hear a cracking sound and hear me talk sometimes. I can hear them perfect, just the mic doesnt work. If i would just resolder it, that would be great!

Oh, I meant the case of the headset, where the wire goes in at the earphone. You've just wriggled it loose and it needs to be firmly reattached. Then drill a hole in where the two pieces are supposed to attach and put a small wood screw through it. Good as new! Aside from the extra glob of solder and the screw sticking out the side of your face.

I see. I was thinking of cutting the part where the jack is and re soldering it. Cause when i wiggle it there, it makes noise according to others. You might be right though, i'll have to check it out. I'll have to test it through recording voice on Halo 2

I still use my original one since i take care of my stuff and dont leave it on the floor but you dont need the headset to play online all you need is a subscrition card and high speed internet and an ethernet cord.
