Xbox Memory Problem

Hey,

My Xbox has a problem - a quite annoying one. It stores game saves great (thank God, I worked my butt off in Forza) but it never stores the time! Every time I start up the Xbox it comes up with the clock/date thing. I just ignore it usually so the bloody thing thinks I'm playing at 12AM sharp. I've tried to set it to the correct time but it always reverts to 12AM next time I turn it on.

Any ideas? :crazy:
 
Do you unplug the Xbox everytime you don't use it? I know it loses the date and time very quickly if you unplug it even for a few hours.

If it does it while plugged in, I have no idea.
 
Knowing that the Xbox is more or less based on PC hardware I have a feeling that the motherboard BIOS battery may be dead after working for several years. If so, either get a new one (if it's even possible), keep it plugged in 24/7 or live with the problem.

Just an idea, of course.
 
Right!! That's done it. I always had a habit of switching stuff off at the mains when I'm done with it... guess I'll leave the Xbox's mains plug alone. Thanks guys! :)
