I have heard from a popularxbox website that for this summer ps2 and xbox will both drop down to 130 dollars and that microsoft could potentially drop its price down to 100 dollars. Can you imagine? the xbox would go out with a huge bang, but how could they do it? I mean you could probably scrap an xbox for parts and easily get 100 dollars on parts.

They already lose a bunch of money on each XBox they sell. I'd consider buying one if it dropped down to 100 bucks. They have a Greatest Hits-like deal, right? Like Sony, where they drop the price of a videogame to 20 bucks after it has sold a certain amount of copies over a specified time.

Yea I heard they are losing extreme amounts of cash but they definately will drop the price for the summer and they do have greatest deals but they never released halo on it which is like greatest hit they have a lot of good games on it though.

XBox's "Greatest Hits" is called "Platinum" or some junk.

If they go to a $100 price point I think everyone should buy one. It honestly is a good console. But for the love of all things pure and holy, DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR GAMES. The console is just a wee little spec in your consuming power. If you keep buying games for $50 (USD) then they'll keep releasing at that. If you wait for games to come down to $40, or even $30, then they'll eventually adjust prices to keep up. They're not going to let games sit on the shelves for $50 forever.

a lot of people know that but people who are crazy for games and dont want to wait and can afford them they never wait if there was an international boycott that would be the greatest thing ever.

Dude, bro, man, use the period. It is your friend.

I know what you're saying, but if those of us who can wait will wait it will start to make an effect. Then the rest of the gamers might catch on and we could possibly see games for all platforms (including PC / Mac ... etc) begin to come down in price.

Sorry about that, if you look at my other posts I dont usually type like that, but yea true I just buy used games anyway because where I live they charge up to $25 more than they would in the us.

Do you use the NTSC USA standard? You could buy several games (or whatever) at the same time and have a friend in the States ship it to you.

Yea I do, I bought my xbox while I still lived in new york, but I usually wait until someone goes to the US to buy games, since shipping will kill you just because this is such a small island, we dont even use zip codes.

Whoa .... life without a zip code. That could be sweet (:

So are there many gamers where you live? Do you get to have multiplayer matches and such?
