Ive noticed from playing forza 4 at a friends that trigger progressiveness is much more fluid with the xbox controller. Since i use no traction control and
R2/L2 for gas and brake, throttle response is a big problem for me and my sixaxis. Any way to solve this problem?

Use right analog stick as back up. I use X to accelerate but switch to analog stick if I need to regulate throttle / save fuel. Also helps when your finger becomes tired.

Forreal Flush? No Way?!!!!!!!!!!

Buy a wheel.

Throttle response is a GT5 problem, it has nothing to do with the R2 trigger which works just fine in other games. PD just decided to make the throttle extremely relaxed until the button is almost fully depressed and then cram the last 50% of throttle into the last 10% of trigger movement. The brake is not programmed to work that way even though the L2 trigger on the controller is the same as the R2(which is why I don't understand why no-ABS braking is supposedly so hard on the DS3 but that's another issue). Even with an an actual Xbox controller you'd still have to deal with the non-linear mapping so it probably wouldn't help.

Some people have problems with the DS3 being too small or having uncomfortable button placement or with their fingers sliding off the triggers but that is just down to personal preference. I personally find Xbox triggers incredibly uncomfortable.

The only solution I know of other than training your finger to find the "sweet spot" is to buy those trigger extenders and see if they make it feel more natural for you, or to buy a wheel. Or I suppose you could try a third-party controller and hope it works correctly, or you could learn how to build your own hybrid controller. :)

DS2 - yes, DualShock2 solves the problem, buy a cheap USB PS2toPC Adaptor, I am using it for GT5. Check my video thread on my sig to see how I play with DS2 stick with no ABS. The face buttons requires up to 3 times more pressure than DS3 to reach 100% input - I am using circle for gas, and triangle for brake. The R2/L2 triggers also seems to be a bit more progressive.

Very few in GTP uses DS2 like mine, maybe less than 10 people or might be just me

Well, you can use the right analog stick (wheel!), or Ridox's suggestion (wheel!)... er, can't quite remember what I'd suggest, sorry.

Have you got a wheel yet?

Did any of you notice my cunningly hidden subliminal messages? :dopey:
