XCM F1 (v1) not working with DFGT

Finally got myself a racing wheel and pedals. Never had one, so I thought I'd start with a low cost entry wheel. And I went with the Logitech Driving Force GT.

I also purchased a XCM F1. The only version available anywhere here is the first generation. I don't know if the second generation would work better.


Anyway, tried to set up the device with my DFGT, but nothing works. No pedals, no buttons. Nothing.

Spent a good hour trying to figure out why. I had to download a new firmware for the F1 to make it see/work with the DFGT.

Still, nothing.
I connect the XBOX360 controller to the XCM F1
Disconnect it
Connect the DFGT
The wheel turns and centers, GT logo lights up and all - but no buttons work.

:confused:


Anyone with experience on this F1 unit?
 
Explained the very same as above to the XCM support email address. Got a response that I should make sure not to use a wireless controller.

I don't see why they would think I'm using one.
I contacted the retailer about this, and asked if they even tested this solution. XCM + Logitech wheels. The reply from the was alarming. They have never tested the three combinations. And it didn't seem like they were interested in it either, yet they sell it.

I'm returning this pile of ... And I'll claim for a refund. I regret so bad I didn't know about Fanatec earlier. I'll be saving up for one of their wheels and pedals.
