According to this video, the SU7 Ultra is going to be release in 3 months.

GT7 is mentioned at the 4:49 mark though I wouldn't mind being corrected on the translation.
Nowhere in this video said the car would be released in 3 months.

edit: OK in the comment section he said that.

Edit: Found the 3 months thing via a comment from the uploader.

If that's within three months from when Kaz was with Xiaomi (late May), that puts it at likely the August update, wth an outside shot at this month.

Them being able to turn this around that quickly raises more questions about the car pipeline than it would answer, frankly.

Three months is from when the video was published so he was referring to Sep/Oct.

PD (Kaz himself) began meeting with Xiaomi in China discussing the collaboration plan in March, and might have already started tasks like 3D scanning vehicles shortly after, so Sep/Oct is not a short timeframe. However, based on what I've heard from Polyphony people, both the finalization of the partnership and the vehicle modeling/development progressed at an unusually rapid pace—far exceeding their standard timeline.

Alright I posted this a s a theory.
Well, they filmed the drive October 28, 2024. If it’s six to nine months to complete (a)the car from that date, we’re looking at a possible end of July reveal. So, talking about the partnership this month can be readying people for next month. We’ll see.
Famine informed me that video was by Xiaomi. Kaz drove the car in May.
I replied:
Then I'll play with the modelling time from nine months to six months. That could be a possible November reveal.
If the XIAOMI VGT teaser isn't a complete car, could be a ways off to next March.
🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't be surprised to see the VGT sooner rather than later - it doesn't look dissimilar in profile from the "racing" version of the car in the video presentation from the China Academy of Art collaboration event.

The SU7 I imagine is a this-year-at-the-earliest thing. Maybe tied into the GTWS world finals at the end of December.

After watching the video above, I asked Polyphony contact about possible Sep/Oct release and he responded "That's nonsense".

So it might not be THAT fast. The Xiaomi SU7 has become phenomenally popular in China so it's common for influencers to spread unverified claims to attract clicks.

We will be able to get plenty of intels, great !
That remains to be seen. So far, we just have a random user claiming to have a contact at PD. Most of the time, said claims turn out to be false... but not always. Stay tuned...

It's completely normal to maintain skepticism toward a random new user, I understand that. Had I not gotten the opportunity to commentate at GTWS this year, I wouldn't have access to share this "intel" either.

Anyways, as I mentioned earlier, SU7 is a phenomenal here, which makes his claim of it being released within three months even more dubious to me. So I asked if that's true, and got a simple respond.

That's a really cool opportunity.

That said, if you want to keep commentating at GTWS I would probably refrain from sharing insider info about content lol.

Thanks for your suggestion. The so-called insider info has, in fact, completely obscured the actual release timeline. As of now, just as before: no one knows when the SU7 will be released in game. All we can do is speculate.
