You'd have to be a complete stranger to GTP not to know how talented some of the members are here when it comes to taking pictures in the Gran Turismo 5 Photo mode. So why not apply these great photos to your PlayStation 3's theme?
Now you can!​

So what must you do to enter the competition? Well first, you've got to hop on GT5, get in a sleek car or two, or three, or four... And take a photo of it. Whether it be on track off, take some pictures and put them in a theme.

For this site, go to the top navigation bar and find the software.

Rules:
-Photo must be taken in GT5.
-You must take photo directly from game, not the internet. In other words, you may not use any photo you did not take.
-Theme must be uploaded to any website that allows upload and public downloads of a file.
-Final submission must indicate that it is final, otherwise it may be disregarded.
-No post-game edits.
-May be either a static or dynamic theme and can include sound.
-Icons may be customized.
-Anyone found to be cheated can be reported to me in my inbox.
-If you don't know if you can do it in accordance to rules, then it's best to ask.​

Awesome! I'm actually going to enter this one. And the new name sounds a lot better.
 
Great. I figured this needed some form of renewal becausd a lot of people would like it I think. It just needed some sprucing up, so I took some advice and made of a bit more eye-catching. I don't think it's over the top but maybe it isn't enough.
 
One question though, are you allowed to crop the icons into a shape or does that count as editing?

One more thing, if I edit my icons do they have to be from photomode?

Icons can be cropped that is fine and no icons don't have to be from Photomode, but should I'm some way relate to your theme or GT.
 
Theme will be up shortly. Any site that is good for uploading this kind of stuff?
 
Sorry, I want to get one done but I'm too strapped for time. I like this idea but maybe it's just not that well suited to a competition. Maybe you should just have a thread where anyone can submit themes for the rest of us to download.

I could see it working if we got enough people and started having themes.

It could work with enough people as you say, maybe it just needs time as a thread in the general Photomode forum to gather enough support to then be able to run as a viable comp later down the track.

I could start a thread for uploading them then once it's popular I can open this again.
 
Why can't the ps3 upload anything other than pictures? I'll have mine up when I get on a computer.
 
I don't like any of the file upload sites. They never work on my ps3. After making my theme, I'd say this competition would have a better future as a photoshop competition. Them you could get some really creative themes and it would appeal to photoshoppers more. Plus you could make dynamic themes. Or maybe a rotating pmc rules/2.0/ photoshop.
