Xmods ?

hey guys anybody here got one of them new xmods? i got one and i'm finding it very fun, $50-(worth all of it).

they are damn fast RC cars(fast compared to any other $50 rc you can get)

they rock.
they are sold at radio shack in the USA apparently to compete with kyosho mini-z. they go the same speed(ish) as a mini-z but the speed and steering is not as proportional as the 512 (odd) steps in a mini-z.
the good part is that you can buy body kits for them... they look fooly sic moit!
they are only 1/2 the priceof a mini-z too.

my only problem is they tho you can buy a honda civic (which looks really cool, they are erar wheel drive and to my knowledge civics are FWD.
but if in the US, give them a shot.

yes thats true all of the xmods are RWD stock despite the fact that 3 of the 4 models currently offered are either FWD or AWD. however there is a AWD upgrade kit available.

you can make a car FWD, its really easy. i got the skyline and no i did not get a body kit. id rather spend my money on something that makes it go faster. thats why i got the stage 2 engine kit for $16

You get the AWD kit, then disconnect the rear differential.

I've got a Yellow R34 Skyline, but that will soon change. I am planning on getting the mild bodykit and a new set of mirrors, a friend hit the wall and broke one off. I will change the paint to flat black then.

I have the stage 2 engine upgrade with the 8 teeth model put in right now, I like to drift it in the basement of our college dorm, all smooth concrete there, and it is pretty large, making for a huge drift course. I also got some aftermarket rims, and painted those black. I like black a lot.

Looks a lot like mine. Mainly, because it doesn't have a passenger mirror.
