All right, room mate went to install new drivers for his mother board. Simple enough, he downloads them, runs them, computer reboots. Windows logo comes up, and then it goes black... and stays black.
So I boot it in safe mode, get to the log in screen, only to find NONE of the input devices work, USB or PS/2. So, I go to repard windows... and now the fun bit. Its doing an install over the old one... but it it gets to the installing devices bit, finishes that up, and restarts. Then proceeds to restart the setup process, and install devices again, and then reboot. Has been repeating this for a while before I realized what was going on...
So, any ideas at ALL? Something is totally screwed in the windows driver info it seems, but I have no idea what...
Specs are so...
EVGA 650i Ultra board, socket 775
Q6600 Quad core
Liteon 20X Sata DVD drive
Samsung 400 Gig Sata HDD
EVGA 8600 GTS
I'm stuck on this problem, and I don't want to reformat and do a clean install if I don;t have too, though nothing critical is on the system as of yet.
